Just received 50 States Cartridge. I want to cut the state out to be almost the size of 12 x 12 paper. I cut out Michigan @ 11 1/2. It is only about 5 or 6 inches. So I cut out 13 3/4, same thing too small. Any hints. Also, someone wanted to cut the whole US minus the 2 far away states in ONE cut. Not cutting all the states out. Thanks 4 Ur Help.

Do you have it set to Real Size? It sounds to me like you don't.

On pg 5 of the manual, they talk about the Key Height Character. If you set your Cricut to cut at 11 1/2 inches with Real Dial OFF, California would cut at 11 1/2 inches, with all others being proportionate to this. If you only want to cut Michigan and you want it 11 1/2 inches, I would turn Real Dial ON.

I don't think your shadow function will work if you turn on the real dial though. In CCR, it seems that Michigan is cutting at about half the size of the dial, so I would set it to 23 inches to cut it at about 11 1/2 inches (with real dial OFF).
