I was cutting out a design on thin card stock. My paper was secured down well and did not move however my Mini made a grinding noise and the blade was tearing the paper and cutting over and over in a small area. I was able to stop the cut and unload the Mini and it all appeared to check out fine. I have tried to make several more cuts to finish my project but no matter the depth of the blade or the pressure even very thin card stock, the blade is not going through the paper. The blade does not look damaged. Has anyone had this happen or can you make a suggestion as to what I may need to replace? Thank you.

Probably some of the paper is stuck in the blade housing unit with the blade and preventing the blade from moving properly. Take out the housing and carefully take out the blade and blow into the housing {close your eyes if you don't wear glasses!}. You'd be surprised how much paper fuzz can be in the housing unit!

Thank you for the advice... sadly it did not fix my problem. I ended up calling CS and they think the housing may have gotten damaged so and are sending me a new one. Thank you for your time.
