First off, thank you to those of you who responded so quickly to my first question here. I do have two other questions, concerning the mini mat.
I've seen many reviews that say the actual mat does not have any indications as to inches, so that it makes it difficult to know where to place your paper. My two questions are this: a) in the craft room, where you see the virtual mat image, are the numerals that are OUTSIDE the thin yellow frame, the inch indicators?, and b) are there really no inch indicators on the mat itself? I find that hard to believe, since how would you know where to place your paper for proper cutting.

They do have inches, but the lines are every half inch and are not darker for the inch, but the inch number are on the sides, but it is more difficult. You could turn the mat over and highlight the lines you want with a sharpie and see the lines from the front. I think I will show how on my blog.

I figured it out. Because it is 8 and a half inches is why they did not do it. because when you turn the mat over the inches are different.
