quick fly by here as I get ready to head to DD's for a Tastefully Simple party. I have been mega busy this week(end). Getting ready for the crop next week, staying on top of the cfs coming in and just keeping moving.

I see Deb got off on her getaway and is hopefully having a wonderful time. We spent HOURS & HOURS in the yard trying to make it look less embarrassing and as if someone might live here.

I will be checking in this evening.

A quick stop from me too. Spring fever must be going around, I too have been soooo busy with yardwork, cleaning, laundry and making 40 Mother's Day cards. The weeds in the backyard are thriving. Spraying them is killing some but I thing I'll need to use Roundup and start over. We might look into groundcover for the slope instead of grass.
Soon it will be time for dinner, cleaning up and getting ready for work tomorrow. So much for a relaxing weekend.
I hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Hi~Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend.

Phyllis~Your room is just awesome! When do you get the results of your scan?

Deb~Hope you're feeling better. Have a safe trip. Enjoy yourself!

Gramma~Sure is crazy weather. I'm not convinced that we won't get more snow!

Pat~Have fun at the party. I need to follow your lead and get some yard work done. Hope all the hard work shows.

Renate~Hope you manage to get rid of those ants. Sounds like you had a busy day today.

Busy weekend although I did get some reading in. Stamp camp was good. We had a few new stampers that enjoyed themselves. I did manage to come up with one idea for April. Got all of the extras made for one of the cards and made up a few misc. cards. All the laundry is done but didn't get as much housework done that I should have. I'm overwhelmed right now and could cry a little at the thought of opening the chateau soon and having two households to maintain when I can't even keep up with one. Oh well, whining isn't going to get me anywhere. I'm going to try and package up the cards that my friend made for CFS before I head up to bed. Not looking forward to a 1:20 alarm going off.

Have a good night.
Jess

Hello, I hope this finds everyone doing well.
Jess, good Monday to you. You had a busy weekend, glad your camp went well. The work never gets done, don't feel lonely. We don't have ants so far this year. Trying to keep them from finding us. I still need to spray one side of the house.
Well, I attacked the tax issue tonight. An hour wasted itemizing only to find out that the standard deduction is larger. We end up owing, but we'll go over it again before we send any money.
Good night. Renate

Hello everyone. No yard work for me, I just watched DH do it BigGrin . I did wash my car today. Did housecleaning, a little shopping, a little playing and guess that's it. I have been working on organizing my cut files on my computer, they're getting way out of hand.

Renate, you're talking dirty again using that TAX word. Glad your ants are gone.

Jess, sounds like you're stamp camp went well. I don't know when I'll get my test results, they send them to my Dr and he calls me. You are getting up when I go to bed, you sure have an unusual work schedule. I would be in trouble if I had two houses to clean, but I'm sure you reap the benefits of having the chateau.

Pat, I'm sure your yard is far from being embarrassing, it's probably the best looking one in the neighborhood. I am assuming the Tastefully Simple party has to do with food?

Deb, no doubt you are having a wonderful time, check in when you can.

Gramma, woo hoo, I don't think I killed the thread BigGrin ? How are things in W NY?

Hello to anyone I missed.

Happy sleepy Monday!

Renate~Always good to double check the taxes. I'm just discouraged that the work never gets done! I did get the cards packaged up but won't get to the PO until tomorrow.

Phyllis~What a good idea to watch DH do yard work! Sounds like you did enough this yesterday. I still usually only work 40 hours but with trying to go to bed at a reasonable time, I don't feel like I have enough time to get things done. I still only get maybe 5, sometimes 6 hours of sleep a night during the week.Huh I do enjoy my time up at the chateau but sometimes it gets too busy there too.

Hope the day is sunny and bright for all.

Jess

Quick check in from. VA. Every time I tried to get in a post someone needed me. Bathroom redo is coming along with the usual plumbing issues. Waiting for grout to cure some so I can clean off the tiles.
Sounds like yard work was the weekend activity for most of the castle. Hope Deb is enjoying her getaway.
Before I forget. Phyllis I love your bit of paradise! That is an awesome space!
Did you get rid of your ants Renate? We have to get treated for palmetto bugs here on a regular basis so they do ant issues also.
Time to get back to work.
Hello to Pat - Gramma - Jess. Have a great day,

Finally the Queens (most of them)are back in the Castle. Welcome back! It was getting pretty lonely with just Phyllis and I.
No yard work happening here... it started out as a mowed over hayfield and will probably end up that way. DH is finding ways to put off mowing. He's hauling the mower in for annual maintenance tomorrow. They will probably keep it a week.
Rained this AM... just overcast now, temps in the 60's.
I've been messing around with my stamps this morning. Trying to get them into one area of collection. DH bought me a 25 pack of jewel cases and I have about 15 full and the other 10 will be full before I finish. Who knew I had so many stamps?

Everybody have a great week!

Hope everyone had a good day!

Joanne~Are you for hire?!! Hope everything is going as planned!

Gramma~Funny how supplies have a habit of multiplying!

I worked 10 hours today, vacuummed both levels, cleaned the bathroom, paid bills and balanced the check book. Lita had a vet appointment, then I made dinner and cleaned the kitchen. It will be an early night for me. I'm beat!!

Simply adorable Jess!!! I'm a little partial to dragons anyway.

Sunny and warm!!! The doors are opened. I got my first bug bites.. not so cool. I really, really do not like any member of the insect species... especially the ones that bite or sting.. you can't outrun them, they have wings!!

The Cherry blossoms are looking good on FB and TV. We should have went to visit DD & family.

Hope everyone is doing well and that Deb is not stranded in her RV somewhere without craft supplies. Has anyone heard from her?

Stay safe!

geeesh..seems like all I can manage are quick fly-bys here. I am so not ready for this crop. I have stuff to work on, but nothing to complete. I sat down earlier and grabbed everything I might possibly use for one set of LO's. I have 2 more sets, but need to pick papers so I can cut the title which is merely the location of the meeting and the dates. I just can't come up with the right papers. I have 2 projects I am taking which will fill up some time.
I have all kinds of interruptions going on. Pond guy will be by this evening I think, and the electrician will be here Thursday after his day job. Friday early am, the contractor will be by to discuss repair/replace of our interior stairs. Dude for the air conditioner never did show up last week. Guess they really don't want to sell us a new one.

I am in need of some thank you cards and was thinking I should have done them at the crop. Too late for me to plan them and do cuts though now.
I am trying to decide if I want to take my E or just hope that I can get some time on the one the crop hostess provides. I would keep mine in my hotel room and just go there and do my cuts. I just hate hauling it.

The cherry blossoms are in full bloom right now. We talked about going downtown, but there just isn't time. I guess it wold be different if I had never seen them up close. oh well, there is always next year.

Going to try to get cfs packed up this evening. Hope everyone is having good weather. It has almost been like summer here with temps in the upper 70s to 80. God only knows what summer will really be like.

Hello everyone. All of a sudden I'm not getting emails of posts, what's with that? I thought we just had an empty castle.

Pat, I hope you really enjoy your crop because the preparation hopefully doesn't put a damper on it. My, you have a lot of service guys lined up. I mailed a box of cards today, two trips to the PO. I went to a small PO that is really close to me and the only person that works there was out to lunch.

Gramma, oh no on the bug bites already. The weather here has been gorgeous, 89 today. The air has been kicking on, unbelievable.

Jess, that card is soooo cute. Wow on all those hours working and then coming home to all those chores, you must be a super woman.

I suppose Deb is having a good time or without wifi.

I will be going to visit my friend in Ft Wayne on Thursday for a few days but I will have my iPad so should be able to check in.

Guess I had better go get the hamburger patties fixed, DH wants to grill out. He is already mowing grass, second time, I can't believe how it's growing along with everything else.

Darn the snooze button! Somehow it was hit this morning!

Gramma~Thank you! Ugh to the bug bites. They are predicting bad things with bugs this year. I'm not a fan either!

Pat~So much going on there! Hope you are able to relax and enjoy the crop!

Phyllis~Grrr to having to go to two POs! Thank you on the card! Super tired is more like it! I went to bed at 7:00 last night and ended up taking a short nap when I got home today. Are you going to do anything special at your friends house (Indiana, right?)? No grass cutting yet here.

I'm working on dinner too..was going to do steaks under the broiler but DH just started the grill. Good, less clean up for me!

Wow, I went from no emails to 5 from each post.

Jess, sorry about the snooze button. Yes, Indiana. We are going to work on some projects for her to put in her DH's store/shop. He is giving her some space to sell her crafts. His customers are going to be surprised to see crafts in a lawn mower sales/service shop.

I'm home....quick trip....oh boy....we did NOT know it was spring break for so many folks this week...no computer service at the state park first night....yesterday we got up and drove toward Destin....found this new camp ground....beautiful but no WiFi yet.....anyway....we left about 8:30 and rode into Panama City Beach, found a spot to park and walked to the beach a little ways.....then headed toward home....nice to get away......but I am beat and so is hubby....I even drove a while today which he usually doesn't want me to do......
Will try to catch up tomorrow after my work is done....second load of laundry going, have about 4 more but they probably will wait til the morning, then clean up and reload the m/h.....have a great night..

Deb, I'm not used to not seeing anything from you for a few days. Glad you had a good time. Destin Florida? I have a cousin in the area and a retired supervisor. Been there years ago. The beach is beautiful.
Jess, what a cute dragon. No wonder it was a hit. You sure are working a lot. Please schedule some rest time.
Gramma, boohoo on the bugs. I think they will be really outnumbering us this year.
Pat, can you just take to the crop what you have ready now? Seems like you could use an event planner to keep track of all your service folks lol. Sorry you are missing the cherry blossom event. I have yet to see it some time!
Phyllis, yeah it was pretty empty here huh? I've been sooo busy with work and home. I spread weed control granules on the lawn in front and sides of the house today, I sure hope they work. Haven't cut the grass yet although it needs it. The magnolia bush next to the front door went from tiny buds to full bloom in 4 days. Same with the tree. Tiny buds on Friday and snow white blossoms yesterday. DH said he could watch them grow. Someone walked by today and took pictures.--Are you driving to Ft Wayne? Going to pass through Indy??
I had my dr appointment this morning. He was very happy with "boring" me, medically speaking. I did a little shopping afterwards and then home. New Year's resolution #7 - take in pants that got too big. I did 2 pairs today. It's a start. There are more to do another day.
I better get ready to turn in soon. Renate

Evening Renate, actually we spent the night in the Navarre Beach area(spel) and just drove thru Destin/Panama City Beach today.....we were ready to find a nice spot so hubby could rest and watch some TV, poor service even with our digital box at the state park.....
Now I am headed to watch a bit of TV and hit the bed.....

Deb, glad to see you check in. Glad you had a good time, you travelled a few miles for such a short time.

Renate, Yes, I'm driving to Ft Wayne, it's only a little over 3 hours drive but won't be coming thru Indy, just a little out of the way. Our trees and everything has blossomed out too, so odd to have the grass growing so fast.

Well, I am about through with putting things together to work on at the crop. I printed out pictures tonight for a double LO and now I am going to gather some embellishments. I also have papers for another double. Just need to cut the title. I am going to try to get everything for another double that will only require a simple title and photo labels. I will then be caught up with with the society album, and last year's gingerbread decorating pages. I am not sure how much I actually have to work on for 48 hrs, but some of that I will be sleeping and eating. LOL

Spent a little time in the yard today, but it was kind of wet from a storm that blew through last night. Might get back out there tomorrow. No pond guy, but that was only a maybe. He said he would call ahead if he is in the area.

Jess, your card is cute. I knew Gramma would like it. My youngest grandson loves dinosaurs.

I am going for an early night here I think. Maybe then I can get up early.

Nite all...

ok.....early get up happened, but I kept getting side tracked. Between FB, the Mb's, Pinterest and emails, I never get ahead. And I don't play the games on FB, so I don't have those bogging me down. Jim says I am not well organized and easily distracted. He is correct.

I did run errands this am, so dinner is under control as is banking, PO and my assigned snack item for the crop. I lucked out with baby carrots, which were on sale.

Now I need to continue to work on things for the crop. I have an assortment of projects and page kits. Enough to surely keep me busy. Trying to decide if I am taking my Cricut or will just hope to be able to use the Crop one. I am also trying to decide if I want to take my laptop or just my tablet. Leaning towards the laptop since I can attach it to my table with a security cord. Whatever I choose, I will be able to check in and make sure everyone is behaving in the castle.

Anyway.. I want to make sure now, I have embellishments, tools and whatever carts I might want for cuts. Crop hostess has quite a few, but not sure if she has the ones I might need.

Holy crap Pat... you're passing yourself on the beltway again... Slow down before you give yourself an anxiety attack or something.
Deb, we missed you.. glad you are home safe and freed from Spring Break.
Phyllis, 86 (eighty anything) is way too warm for me... I'm a 65-70's girl.
Jess, If you like dragons, check out Dustin's blog on the 24th... its going to be a "Dudley kind of Day." There is a link to it from my blog linked below.
Renate, dang.. it must be a great feeling to take clothes in..Congrats on shrinking! On the other hand I hope it didn't happen the hard way through illness. Sometimes I just don't feel my foot in my mouth until its too late..
70's here today and yesterday.. near 80. DH is at the golf course for the second time this week.
Some of the early flowers have bloom and the trees are leafing out.. I'm all ready sneezing.
Hi to Joanne and anyone I may have missed just being a lame brain..
Stay safe!

Afternoon.....been a busy day.....hubby and I slept in til almost 7, he made a cup of coffee and in 5 mins he was throwing up.....oh boy......he did get better in about an hour....could have just been all the riding and driving or just shear exhaustion..... Motor home is clean inside, laundry almost done, last load now going, we just need to wash the outside and put it away. And get my car out from the garage where we park the m/h and we should be almost back to normal....
Gramma it is about 75 today, just beautiful, but the pollen is awful..those little tassels from the trees are killing my sinuses...front porch is covered....we are also glad to be free of the spring break crowdBigGrin...and there was no pollen at the beach......
Phyllis hope you have a wonderful trip to visit your friend and get lots of 'stuff' made for the shop...you never know who might drop in with their better half and buy something and they tell someone and the ball gets rolling.
Jess love that dragon card.....too cute.....hope you had a good work day.....
Renate I need to get in my yard this week too.....the weeds I sprayed last week are just about 'dead' and I better get a handle on them before they rear their ugly heads again.....
Pat hope your DD had a great party on Sunday, maybe you will get your crop things together and be able to knock out every thing you carry. Hope you have a wonderful weekend..... I hope your 'repairmen' are able to get you taken care of....customer service is very lacking lately.
I hope everyone has a great rest of their day.....

Wow, no emails again, I can't figure out this MB.

Pat, I agree with Gramma, you're passing yourself on the Beltway again. Good luck on the decisions as to what machinery you are going to take. I know what you mean about being easily distracted, I have the same problem.

Gramma, we will have those temps you like later this week. Its way too early for the these temps we are having now, makes me a little worried about Summer.

Deb, hope DH is doing better by now and it's just a matter of over doing himself over the weekend. Our temps are warmer than yours, what gives with this? I'm about packed and ready to head out tomorrow morning. I've done laundry today, washed my electric blanket and hung out to dry, don't think it will be needed for awhile.

Hello Jess, Renate and Joanne and ....... Anyone who drops by.

Deb, we have family pix and great memories from our vacations at the Gulf coast. Used to take my parents to visit my cousins. I remember Navarre Beach is like an island. It was hit by a hurricane a few years ago. Has it recovered? Is DH feeling better?
Phyllis, I didn't know we are out of the way, didn't look at the map. I would have liked to meet up with you. Working craft stuff is always fun. Are you going to take some of your work, expand the market? Have fun in Ft Wayne.
Pat, looks like you are about ready for the crop. Are the page kits for your use or are you still making them for others at the society?
Jess, have a good Wednesday to Thursday night. The week is almost over again.
Grammy, it was 84 here today. Too warm for you, but I like it better than cold and all the nasty stuff.--My shrinking is from counting calories for the last year. 35lbs of shrinking, I'm back to where I was about 10 years ago. Dr took me off all but one medicine b/c shrinking took care of the bad numbers.
I'm going to see if the lawnmower starts up, and if we have gas. The grass in the backyard needs to be cut.

good evening... decent day even though weather was a little dreary making it a bit cooler. I spent the day in my room working on page kits.
Renate all the page kits are for me. Society pages are for the genealogical society album. I do pages for each of our 2 yearly meetings. The rest of the pages are for my personal albums which vary and go from heritage to family activities. Mostly I do heritage ( a way to showcase my research), but I do some of current family events to showcase the living.

Gramma, you should know by now that this is how I operate. Close to the deadline and no stopping. I am so last minute and I work best under pressure.

Deb, took you no time to get everything cleaned up and back on track. I've not been to that part of FL, but I have friends who opened a tea room in Destin. Haven't talked to them for years, so it is likely closed now. They were sisters. Cute picture of Prissy that you posted on FB.

Still trying to decide if I am taking my E. If I do, I won't need it and if I don't, I will. That is how it goes.

Snooze again. I think I'm in for a long day. Hope it's better for everyone else.
