Phyllis, we will see if it helps.
What are you up to today? I am trying to finish up some things so I can print pictures for page kits. I also want to get a walk in, since it so nice out. The winds are from the SW and the sun is out.

Not much going on here except laundry. I'm waiting on the UPS guy to deliver some lighting tracks to extend my lighting in my craft room over my island. Beautiful day here too but quite windy.

I like the new thread too. Should be faster to get to the last post. Thanx Pat!
Another busy day at work, I'm more than half way through the week. I'm still working on the album and hope to have it done soon. It was very windy today but almost 70*.
Phyllis, you are getting your room done in bits and pieces. I'm sure you will love it when it's done.
Well, dishes are in the dishwasher and I'm going to be creative I hope!
Hope everyone is doing well.

Renate, glad you found us. Which album are you working on.
I have tried all day to be creative.. or productive. Didn't do so well, but not for lack of trying. There is always tomorrow to start again.

Gramma, hope you find us. Your pkg came today. GCAU and as always thanks for the extra.

70ish here today and a bit breezy. Tomorrow will be pretty much the some, then some rain.

Pat, it was the first CFS threat that popped up and then I realized it was a new one. I stuck pictures in an album for each of the kids and my niece when they were born and added more over the years. Now I'm putting them into scrapbooks. I'm working on the one for my niece. I'm going to visit my family for a few days next month and want to take my niece's album so I won't have to mail it later. Didn't get much done tonight, I answered emails instead.
It's late for me and time to go to sleep. Good night to all. Renate

So, I go off hunting for treasures and the Castle clears out!!!LOL
Looks so nice and clean, Pat. Thanks! Spent Wednesday at some stores north of me. Quite a drive but managed to find some goodies. Tuesday's store was the one in Lakeland that I can spend hours in. She has great stuff and wonderful ideas. Picked up an idea for a quick "Sammy Book' for DH - his birthday is tomorrow. So - I am working on the book, his card and unloading patio bricks in between.... Need to fit in a cake somewhere too...
Speaking of birthdays - SS finally got back to us and he does not have to pay a surcharge for his medicare (which starts tomorrow). Tricare will now be his supplement and meds. I will stay with just Tricare for a few years yet.

Phylllis - Love, Love, Love the Sammy leash keeper! I definitely want one! I just need to figure out color etc.
Gramma - Hope the Erie doc can help your DGD. My blonde, blue eyed DGD is on allergy meds too.
Deb - WooHoo for top down weather! Sounds like you are enjoying your new little bug! (and your cousin's visit too!) How is Howard feeling these days? Maybe you'll get some inspiration for Sunday dinner at cooking class.
Jess - The store we went to this morning was a stamp and embossing store. They make the stamps right there and let us go in the back to see how they are made. Very cool! Not exactly what I had envisioned.
Hello to everyone else--back to playing with paperSmile

good evening, how is everyone?
Joanne, everyone left when you went on your Treasure hunt, lol. It has been kinda quiet. Glad you got to have some fun in your stores and watching the stamp production. Did you get today's projects done?
Jess, ready for your last work day this week?
Deb, glad you had a good time with your cousin. Getting ready for your next event, lunch on Sunday, and cleaning house before then.
Gramma, remember rain is better than that stuff that needs shoveling. We had rain today too, and the temps dropped. Should be in the 50s this weekend and 70s next week. I wished our taxes were done. DH trusts me and Turbo Tax, I can feel the weight on my shoulders.
Phyllis, is your laundry done?
I am really tired tonight and don't have much hope for anything productive. We'll see.
Hello to everyone else.

Good morning, a rainy Friday but that's okay too. Not a nice day for putting the top down and hitting the road.
Had a nice cooking class last night....only 16 attended so not sure whether she will have a class next month.....but everything was very good.....
Pat the scones looked yummy on FB......
Phyllis love the new leash holder on your site.....nice also to see the colors you can do....
Gramma hope your tax appointment went well......how are the grands? Did your DD get over her visit from "Walter"?
Jess sorry your week has been so rough, hope you get a chance to breath after work today...
Joanne glad DH and SS are settled now. Hubby has Medicare and continued with his insurance from work....how many more treasure hunt stores are on your schedule? Hope you got the book and everything done for his b'day.....
Hope Karen's last surgery will help her heal.....and soon......
Renate hope you have a great weekend too.......
I need to make a grocery store run today, should have gone yesterday but didn't......shame on me.....oh well....
Youngest DGS will be 'unhappy' with me if he doesn't have his favorite dessert Sunday.....
Have a great day and will check in later.....

Well, we went from rain to snow... just flakes and nothing to shovel. Supposed to be near 60 on Sunday... I reallllllllly dislike WNY weather. On the other hand, I like the fact that it hasn't snowed me in, blew me away or flooded me in the last fifteen years or so.

Phyllis, that was a very clever idea to turn one of your hangers into a leash holder. I'll bet that one sails off the shelf.

Pat, your scones on FB yesterday had me drooling all over my poor keyboard. Yum!

Jess, Happy Friday!

Joanne, sounds like you had a great time on your treasure hunt. I'm going to try and remember the scrap store in Lakeland when I'm in FL next time. Sorry to read your DGD is plagued with stupid allergies too.. I sure hope they both get better.

Deb, reads like your visit with the cousin went well. I'm a little surprised you can get company to leave after all your great homemade cooking. Sounds like DH is feeling better. Good to read he can do a few errands.

Taxes were hilarious... at one point our tax lady said she was going to seperate us into different corners. We aren't done. I told DH he was missing half the forms, but he insisted on going... MEN!!

Hellos to Renate and Karen and anyone else I missed.
Stay safe and warm.

Hi~ I hope everyone is having a great day! I can't remember everything I've read so I'll have to do the best catch up that I can from as far back as I can view!

Gramma~Sorry to hear the tax meeting didn't go smoothly. Hope you can get it all taken care of soon. Our weather has been crazy too...just all over the place.

Deb~Hope you enjoyed both card and cooking class. Nice that you'll have family over on Sunday. Did you enjoy your visit with your cousin? No chance to breathe here yet, maybe Sunday!

Joanne~How long does the treasure hunt go on? Happy Birthday to DH! You sure had enough things keeping you busy! I bet it was cool to see the stamps being made!

Renate~Hope you got some rest last night. I'm always ready for the end of my work week!

Phyllis~I like how the leash holder turned out!

I was able to get a small box of things ready for the sale and I just packaged and marked 130 cards for sale (added some inside verses to some as well). Have to help set up tonight and then we get to shop the pre-sale. Tomorrow myself and three others are heading to Milwaukee for a SU! event. It's a day trip so I'll be home tomorrow evening. My plan is to do the taxes on Sunday. Looks like I'll need to do some more prepping for stamp camp next weekend...more customers is a good thing though! I'm going to go try and make a few more cards...that really cute one that I still need to take a picture of!!

Jess

Good afternoon all. Nice sunny day here although a little cool.

Renate, I'm still working on my laundry, I take too many breaks and then forget that I have a load in the dryer. Hope you have something good planned for your weekend.

Deb, Hope you have fun with family this weekend, no doubt they love to come eat your delicious cooking.

Gramma, sorry DH didn't listen to you on the tax papers, I think they are indeed from Mars. I sure hope things sail off the shelves in my store, I got 2 more orders this week but I sure could use more than that, LOL.

Joanne, I would sure like to go treasure hunting with you, sounds like some cool places you go. HB to your DH.

Jess, you have a lot going on this weekend. Hope you sell a lot of cards, I know they're gorgeous. That SU event sounds exciting, is it just for demos?

Guess I'll work in my craft room tonight, my friend is going to Skype me tonight too, that's gonna be a 2 hour thing.

Gramma sorry about your tax event....hubby leaves all that to me, which is ok.....hope you get them done soon. Hope the snow doesn't decide to come back.
Jess enjoy the sale, have a great time at the SU event too.....wishes for lots of cards to sale....
Phyllis have a good 'skype' tonight.....are you planning another trip to PF in June? Hope your sales pick up too. It was cool here today too....going back down to about 30 tonight....had to remember my plants on the patio I had uncovered to enjoy the sunshine the last couple days....
I decided to make a pizza for supper, have my 'to do' list in the kitchen so I can get busy in the morning....
Hope everyone has a great night, I think I am going to watch a little TV and maybe call it an early night....

good morning .. bright and sunny here, but only going to be in the 40's.. However.... tomorrow and all of next week we will be flirting with the 70's. I am so hoping to be able open some windows and even get outside in the yard.

Going to keep working on the page kits for the crop. Hope to complete 5 sets this weekend. I will have to stay focused, which has been hard. Jim has a ton of office work, so we will be staying close to home. I do need to go to the grocery store and pick up a few things. And the PO to mail some society packets.

I hope everyone here has a good weekend. I think I also need to do a new theme. Last call for Mother's Day and more general use cards most likely. I need to make a few cards for family birthday's. I already missed 2 this year.
Deb, enjoy family this weekend, Phyllis, I hope you get that laundry done. Hello to Gramma, Renate, Joanne, and everyone else

Sunny but 20 in WNY today... no shoveling required!BigGrin

I need some advice.... my #1DGD called me on the phone last night """SUPER"""" excited. She got her ears pierced. Am I an old prude for thinking a kid should be older than five before getting their ears pierced? I wouldn't let my own DD get hers pierced until she was 15 and mature enough to decide if she wanted holes in her body that last a lifetime. I am a prude, aren't I? Anyway, how to I keep from spilling the beans that I am not in favor? Any suggestions?

Hellos to everyone!

Good afternoon everyone.

Deb, hope your kitchen plans are all working out. I don't think we will be coming to PF this year, we're going to do/go somewhere, just not sure yet. We did Skype last night for a couple hours, she was about to fall out on me, she is not the night owl that I am.

Pat, hope you get to roam around in your yard this weekend. We have lots of things sprouting out of the ground. Laundry is done except for one load in the dryerBlushing . I went out yesterday so got sidetracked again, that's my story. BigGrin

Gramma, I'm with you on the ear piercing at an early age. I worry about children getting them snagged, etc, you know how kids play. I've seen people have their babies ears pierced, yikes. Guess I'm old fashioned too.

The dogs got me up too early this morning, only had 4 hours sleep, so I took a nap today, just now feeling like facing the world. Both were throwing up, they seem to be OK now, they immediately went back to sleep but I couldn't.

good afternoon ladies...... been busy trying to get these page kits done. Sometimes I can make them work for me, when I am at a 2 or 3 day crop. Sometimes NOT. Mainly I worry about not planning for everything I might need. So I have to work on that.

Phyllis, sorry about the slow start to the day. We ended up going to the grocery and got more than I had planned, but I had help putting it all away, so that was good. I told Jim, he was on his own for eating. I don't want to be on a roll and then have to quit to fix dinner and clean up. I have a load of the laundry in the dryer right now, but part of this room is the laundry area, so it is convenient.

Gramma, I am the opposite on pierced ears. My girls ears were pierced when they were little, the princess grand daughters were even younger. So far we have been lucky with no snagging. Two of them though, can only wear gold. All 3 wear small hoops and small dangling, but only studs to school. Kristen added a 2nd hole in one of her ears when she was in high-school. This grandma just goes with the flow on most things unless it is illegal or offensive. Oh and for the record I was in college when I got my ears pierced. My room mate did them. ice cubes and a bottle of cheap wine. She was in medical assistant school and that made her qualified.

Hello to everybody.
I got most of my laundry done last night and started another one today. Forgot about it all afternoon and put it in the dryer and forgot again. Thanx for all the reminders...I will get it out after this.
Gramma, I'm one of those who had my daughter's ears pierced when she was 6 months old. She barely noticed it. Tiny little gold balls. She can only wear gold. Tried a few others with another piercing and is allergic to the cheap ones. I like my double piercing and can only wear gold.
Phyllis, did your pooches get into something together? I hope they are still ok tonight.
Our eldest came over with GF. He offered IT help, gave us a dvd player for the family room, hooked it up, explained it and sent me a "computer help" email on which one of the remotes to use etc. Then he re-installed my external HD and copied all my saved files and pix. He said it was his duty to do stuff for his parents. What a guy. We like his GF too. He had his tablet that we got him for Xmas with him and showed me all the accessories he "had to" have, mouse, stylus, card reader. I think I will get one like his. Of course I have to get lessons from him.
Pat, I hope you are getting the page kits done soon. I switched my niece's album from a 3-ring one (too big) to a regular album and have 3 more pages to do and then finish the embellishments. It is turning out ok.
Jess, I slept in this morning and felt more rested. Enjoy your Sunday.
I better get the laundry out before it wrinkles up. Hello to everyone I missed, Renate

Good morning, hope everyone has a great day.
I will most likely miss that hour of sleep later todayBigGrin
Gramma I was okay with my DGD getting her ears pierced when she was little, before a year I think.....she had troubles with cheap stuff, went quiet some time and did not wear any....I understand the concern too.
I can only wear Eterna Gold since I am allergic to nickle and turn 'colors', so far that brand has been the best for me, I can wear studs for a couple hours but nothing that dangles.....my glasses have to be nickle free or they leave 'marks' on my face......
We are still planning a short get a way in a few days....not sure which way we are headed though......
Phyllis sorry we won't get to meet up again this summer......enjoy where ever you decide to go.....hope the dogs are all over that 'stuff'....woke up to Prissy being sick yesterday morning too....must be something in the air.....
Renate hope your laundry is done....
Jess did you have any luck with the sale?
Pat hope your day was productive.....I hate grocery shopping with a passion....but we must 'eat'.....good luck on the page kits.
I better get busy and get in the kitchen...all the food is 'almost' ready, just need to cook the baked beans and warm up the meat.....going to be 'serve yourself' day today......
Have a great day....

Happy Sunday! Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Phyllis~As soon as I started to read back in the posts I saw your comment on laundry and it made me get right up and swap loads. It sure feels never ending. The last load is in the wash. Yippee for more orders!! The SU! event was not just for demos. Demos are allowed to bring guests. We did a couple make n' takes, got some free goodies, learned some stuff, saw tons of samples, it was good! They did a lot of give aways but none of us won anything extra. Hope you had a good chat with your friend. Hope the dogs are ok.

Deb~Yum to pizza! I was pleased with my sales. Of course I would have liked to have sold everything but I was happy with making some money! It looks like my male cards and my really cute kid card sold the best. I think I'll be missing that hour of sleep too, in fact, I think I already am! Hope you're enjoying family time!

Pat~I hope your weekend was as productive as you wanted it to be. It always helps timewise to not have to cook a meal. By the time you prep, make dinner, eat and then clean up it can be a couple hours. Way to easy to lose motivation with that kind of interruption!

Gramma~Enjoy the sun! I hope it plans on sticking around for a while. I think we only have one small piled of snow in the backyard. Sure looks like a good raking could be done outside but DH is bonding with the couch!

Renate~Sure was nice of DS to help you with tech things. Glad you've decided on a tablet. I bet you will love it. Good job on almost being done with the scrapbook! A friend gave me some CFS cards so I'll go through them and see where I'm at with them.

Very busy weekend here. Did some laundry when I got home last night, cleaned the kitchen (DH on his own for basically two days, need I say more??), sorted through some of the sale stuff and was in bed by about 9. Today I've worked on laundry, cleaned the bathroom, made breakfast, vacuummed the first floor, paid bills and balanced the checkbook and finally did the taxes. I just started hash brown potatoes in the crock pot and will do pork chops with them. I think I'm going to go sit and not get up until I finish the book I'm reading.
Oh, I took a ton of pictures of card samples yesterday. If I can figure out how to get them from my iPad to facebook, I'll put them on there. I found a lot of cute ideas, someone else may too. Renate, are you on facebook??

Jess

Jess glad you sold some cards.....and had a good time......'bonding with the couch'....good one, never heard it put quiet that way but guess my hubby bonds well with the recliner and remotesBigGrin
Gramma I have had other issues I was not happy with in regards to the grands.....and if I was asked my opinion rest assured I did give it, just tried to be shall we say 'polite but get the point across'.....
All kids and grands had plenty to eat and were gone by 12:30 today, DGD had to go to work at 2, DGS had a baseball clinic at 2.....I have been a slug the rest of the day.....should be a busy week for us too....
Hope everyone else has a great rest of their Sunday, catch up on that lost hour and will check in tomorrow.....

Good evening castle mates. It's been a gorgeous day today. DH has been cleaning in the garage and his work shop area. I went to M's to get one cube that I needed to make an even set so my top would be level. I moved all of those cubes to my closet area. It took me a long time to put it together, it had 3 drawers in it, I only made 3 mistakes but quickly fixed them before it was too late. DH asked if I could put it together, I said sure (glad he didn't watch me).

Our dogs are OK, I think it was the bits of pork ribs that DH gave them. Scooter has a very sensitive stomach anyway and was worse than Cody.

Renate, glad your DS did all that tech stuff for you. I would be lost without my DS keeping me out of tech trouble.

Pat, what have you been up to today?

Deb, I will miss seeing you this year at PF, but, who knows, we might end up there anyway but no definite plans. I can't wear anything but gold in my ears either. It will take me about a week to adjust to the time change. Your kids and grands sure made haste about eating and running. Glad you had the time with them though.

Jess, wow you sure have been busy this weekend. Would love to see your cards. Here is a link to a printer app that I use called Printopia. http://www.ecamm.com/mac/printopia/ I can send them to my computer, of course it's for a Mac, don't remember what you have. The iPad allows you to send to Twitter but not Facebook from the camera, that's strange, I think more people use FB than Twitter.

Gramma, I think I have a handle on that "retired" phase, I have a lot of those "do what I feel like" days. LOL. Glad you had some sunshine today. It was close to 70 today here.

Hope everyone has a good night and catches up on that hour we lost.
