The pp couldn't get the link to work so here's the data....from user ♫SusanVilar♫. And the posts on the old message board said to cut all the size size and they will be able to line up-----kind of like a puzzle. I plan on cutting out next week and labeling each. My DD needs to know: state name, abbrev, capital and location on the map (spelling correct). Hopefully this will help.
Here is a coloring guide to use so none of the states that border each other are the same color.
**You can change the colors, but leave the states in their categories.
My husband and I played around with making this an attachment but couldn't, so I'm typing this out in message format.
Yellow: Washington, Utah, Oklahoma, South Dakota,
Illinois, Mississippi, South Carolina, New York, Hawaii, Delaware
Purple: California, Wyoming, Texas, Iowa, Kentucky, Alabama,
North Carolina, Massachusetts
Orange: Idaho, Arizona, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Louisiana, Tennessee, Ohio, Connecticut, Maryland, New Hampshire, Alaska
Red: Oregon, Colorado, North Dakota, Missouri, Michigan, West Virginia, Georgia, New Jersey, Vermont, Rhode Island
Green: Nevada, Montana, New Mexico, Kansas, Minnesota, Arkansas, Indiana, Florida, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maine
FYI - if you want to cut the entire USA the same size....
Alaska is the largest state BUT not contiguous with the remaining states. Best bet is to cut it last and use as an inset just the same as you see on maps.
Texas is the second largest state, and probably best to use as a size base for the entire country.
California is the third largest state.
