I decided I wanted to buy the Old West cartridge but a physical cartridge doesn't seem to be available any longer. I see that a Digital version is being sold. Are these only accessible through the Craft Room or can I save it to my Gypsy and cut without having to connect my Expression to my computer?

Yes, they are available in the Cricut Craft Room, but you will also be able to transfer them to your G.

I have seen the digital copy, but I don't know what that means, I don't have a gypsy so would I still be able to use it? I REALLY wanted to make birthday invitations, decorations, and games with the images & Fonts on this cartridge but apparently I didn't jump on it when it went on sale fast enough and now it's only on the cartridge scalpers who are a bunch of price gougers on E-Bay.
I refuse to pay over $40 for this cartridge, so I hope I can find the physical copy or can use the digital without having to purchase a gypsy to use it...
ty!

You can use it in CraftRooom, no need for a Gypsy if you don't want one.

Just looked up the digital info, so as I understand it, I can design it in the "Craft Room", but if I don't own the physical cartridge, I can NOT cut it?? IS that true?? That would not solve my problem at all...please tell me I am wrong??

You can buy a digital copy of the cartridge for $49.99 (http://main.cricut.com/shopping/detail-Cartridges-Digital-Cartridges-Cricut-Fonts---Digital-Old-West---Digital-308-1686.aspx) that can be used to cut if you connect your computer to the cricut craft room program.

sorry to be dense, I just don't understand, how does the cricut expression connect to computer so I can cut? I would LOVE to use it this way I could customize and get it right b4 I waste all kinds of paper trying to get it right...
Please confirm this, So I purchase the digital copy, and somehow I am able to connect my cricut expression and am able to use it as I would the physical hard copy of Old West Cartridge, am I right? Is there some sort of cord I need to purchase, how does my computer connect to my cricut expression machine?
TYVM!!! :-)

You can connect your computer to your cricut with a USB cord. It's the same style USB cord you would use to connect most printers to your computer. Does that help?

Should have added this--
So how does accessing the digital copy work?
When you purchase a digital cartridge, do you get the actual program u burn to a CD or stick, or do does the "copy" you own stay online in the "Cricut Craft Room" and you have to log on to access it?
