I am having a soccer bday party for my son at a indoor soccer field and want to get all of the kids "soccer" shirts. This might be a perfect excuse to buy a YUDU!! Am I crazy? Is it easy to use or should I just order the shirts?

I feel its totally easy and totally worth it. Especially once you start using liquid emulsion. Then it's really and inexpensive hobby. The sheets are just too pricey for ONE shirt. But LE is like $0.60 s screen so it keeps it fun!
If you're making more than 10 shirts, and plan on having more fun with it later, it would be worth your while to get one instead of having them made. If its less than that, why not try heat set vinyl. It's easy and not too pricey and there is no investment.
I LOVE my Yudu so I am the wrong person to ask LOL

So liquid emulsion is different than what comes w the YUDU machine? Do u think there is a big learning curve?

The Yudu comes with 2 emulsion SHEETS. These are a one time use and they will run you about $18 a pair pre-coupon.
With the liquid, there is, like anything else, a learning curve. Its not a great one. but it will take practice and reading my instructions given in this forum it will make it easier.
The Yudu itself has a learning curve. Again, not great and if you look for the hints from me and Newfy you'll be ahead of the game. I have hints on how to get the emulsion SHEETS applies perfectly every time.
Key to ink application is to put plenty on the top of the screen, flood lightly, and pull at a 45 degree angle and remember you're laying ink ON the shirt. Not pressing it INTO the shirt.
Then you should be fine.

I did do some screen printing when I was in a graphic design program...Maybe some of that will come back to me!  Thank you for your information!

Ummm, design program....Yep Yudu is easy.  You'll LOVE it!! Check out my FAQ's and Princessam's liquid emulsion instruction and you'll be rockin' and rollin' in no time. The emulsion is a Diaz (speedball) and can be found in the art canvas section of M's and also on Amazon. I like the Yudu emulsion I just hate the price point. I just can't afford to do it if I don't use liquid. I HIGHLY recommend playing before you do the party shirts. Use some old fabric you don't care about. Muslin is about $1 a yard before cupoun I have about 10yds hanging out so that I can do a first pull on that. It saves on all kind of hair pulling.

Where do you buy the liquid emulsion? I have had a Yudu since in launched and have never used it. I know, I know, it is ridiculous. However since I have been reading the tips and got the Yudu CardShop, I have gotten it out and I am soooo ready to play with it.

TL your funny. Read my post it's all there, silly. Are you W.side of the state or E.side? If you are Seattle you have more great Art Supply Stores than you can shake a stick at. Try Dakota Art Supply in Ravenna, at least it use to be there. Spokane Art Supply on the East side of the state. Of course M's & Amazon. There now you don't have to read my other post, lucky you.

Thanks NewfyMom!! I better re-read it before I do anything else I am near Olympia, but I will be up in Seattle this weekend and will stop by and pick some up. I have a three day weekend and it's time to start playing with my machine that I just had to have!
