I'm very new at this Cricut stuff and would LOVE to be able to cut Browning and Ducks Unlimited logos. The only software I have is Sure Cuts A Lot. Is there any way someone could create these logos for me in an SVG format that I could download?? I've seen this done on another thread on here from 2009, but can't find the thread, nor the file to download. Thanks so much for any and all help!! abercrombie_cn2e7cd375 attached the following image(s):

I can do it with SCAL 2, there is an import button at the top but not sure if it will import a ping file, I'll try. It did let me import the ping file just fine.
The button I have is called trace image, it will let me import it and I would be able to cut it fine, not sure if SCAL 1 has that option.
I made a Cabellas logo that way last year too

I worked with the DU logo since I too love it being a trainer of field trial labs.
I cannot get the font to look right but the DU head looks great, if you PM me your email I will try to attach the file and see if you can use it.

I tried using the TRACE function in SCAL - and it worked great - but with the JPG image, not the PNG
Save your image as a .jpg
In SCAL click FILE, then TRACE IMAGE. In the window that pops up select BROWSE and find where you saved the .jpg image. Click OPEN, then OK. Your file will then appear on the mat. You might want to click "Keep proportions" on the properties menu so when you enlarge it, it keeps its proportions right.
When I saved your image, converted it to .jpg, then did the trace - it looked awesome!
The only thing that might cut a little wonky is the trademark - but it is not hooked to anything - so it shouldn't mess anything up.

Thanks everyone! I only have SCAL1 and don't have the trace option. Does anyone know of another program that DOES have that option, other than SCAL2?? Lab~BLAB, I've pm-ed you. Thanks!

Got it! I was able to covert your .png images to .svg using Inkscape - which is a free program! I can't figure out how to upload the files here - so PM me and I will email them to you!

I installed Inkscape, and figured out how to trace, etc; however, when I save the traced image as .svg, and import it into SCAL (1), the image is NOTHING like what was shown in Inkscape. The 'Browning' letters are all over the place, and on top of the deer head. Any ideas? TIA!

Well nuts! I have SCAL2 and mine works perfectly. It imported great and looked true to the image. I followed the steps listed in the Frugal Crafters tutorial and it worked perfectly. Hopefully it is not a glitch with SCAL1 vs SCAL2, since you can't uprade it and have it work with the cricut.- Frugal Crafter - how to convert png to svg using Inkscape

You cannot cut them on the Cricut without third party software - and that is no longer an option.
There are other cutters out there that will work with your own designs or ones you find online, but not Cricut.
