Any suggestions on make the donut hole within the cirlce the exact size you'd like?

this is what i open my design studio and take a circle the size that i wont then i take a another maybe a 1/2 or so small and put it in side the other circle then cut it out. i hope this makes cent . i did this when i made a wreath i took 23/4 then took 1 3/4 and put it inside the other then took a 1 inch circle put it inside that then i cut it out .hide the small one and then cut it then hide the big one then cut it and it work well for me. hope this help you
