Yes or ask the creator or someone with the full version to convert it for you.

George for the baby bugs and Plantin school book and accent essentials for the Expression. I have CDS registered on 2 of my computers and when I go save as it gives me the option of saving in .cut or .gypsy. Even though I have a Gypsy and love it and use CCR I still love CDS for those times when i'm doodling on my computer and want it faster than CCR. As CCR comes via internet it is very slow for me. I also like the keyword search on CDS as well. As the trial version is free to download why not give it a try. if it works you have an extra design tool if not then delete it and you are no worse off, personally "I am a cricut-a-holic and love all my cricut family and designers. hope this is not too late to help you.
