Can oyu please confirm your update numbers on your Imagine? I am concerned about the third set of numbers that you show as 0000. If they are truly 0000 then your machine needs to be replaced. The only reason those numbers would be 0000 is if a cable came loose or the expression board is bad. Chris Provo Craft

Jaimie What images are you missing? Can you take a picture of the screen to show me? I don't see any way for a cartridge to have some images but not others. Either every Imagine More cartridge produced is missing these images or your cartridge is defective. A picture of your screen and more details of the problem will help me. Chris Provo Craft

Chris Provo Craft Chris, The numbers on my Imagine are 0115:0027:000:202A I have had the machine since March and used several times. I checked all the cables and everything is plugged in. What would cause this to happen? Thank you and what do I do from here? Lisa

Hey Chris,
Can you tell us if the JT cart has a problem or if the book has a misprint? On page 10, the guitar is showing 4 layers but the 4th one is missing on the cart. I know of at least one other person who sees the same thing. So which is it?
Thanks

After 2 weeks of frustration and looking my internet due to having to keep trying to update my imagine and G. I was finally able to!!! I was about at my wits end with these crazy machines. Anyways here are the versions Gypsy version 1.4 (0210:0225) Imagine 0115:0028:0239:202A

Thanks. Your content update did not work for some reason. Usually it is because it did not complete. That is why you see the four quesiton marks. Try running the update again. If that doesn't work then try doing a content restore in troubleshooting. That should get your content loaded back onto your machine. Chris Provo Craft

Kristin I am having this problem!! I have tried it several times and it always gets stuck on 100%. ALready had to do a restore becuse the cart update wouldn't work and sync wouldn't recognize my I. Chris, you replied that you had to restore it to factory settings and our I's would need to be replaced. This was several months ago. Have you found a solution that doesn't require sending the I back! Thanks!

This update does two major things:
1. The Imagine and Cricut Craft Room are now compatible with each other.
2. We are eliminating the need to do Content Updates on the Imagine. This update is the first step in completing this. You will likely have to do one more content update and that will be the last one. So no more headaches with trying to update your content.
The Gypsy update should be ready within a few days.
Current versions:
Gypsy App - Version 1.4 (0210:0220) Imagine App for Gypsy - Version 1.01 (0111:0024) Imagine - Version 1.01 (0115:0024:0239:202A) Cricut Sync - 2.0.5.3
Chris Provo Craft Chris I am on my 3rd machine and it is working great. I bought Flower Shoppe and I have to do an update to use it. I keep hearing about all of the problems that people are having after they update the machines. Is there any way just to get the contents for the cartridges until uget the final update ready and that way I won't mess up my machine. Thanks Sue

Thanks Sue When it tells you that updates are available you can unselect the firmware update. Make sure the content update is checked and it will only download that update. Chris Provo Craft

This is my first time posting to the forum, and I am hoping someone out there might have a solution/suggestion. Is anybody out there trying to do the last Imagine update using a Mac? I have been trying to do it since last weekend. It went through all the updates & uploads except for the full content support. Once it downloads the update, it just hangs for hours trying to do the upload. I have left my Imagine on with my Mac all night long (close to 12 hours!!!) and nothing. I have been trying again since last night, and still nothing. I thought it could be my Mac, so I switched to my laptop which runs Windows 7. It did what it was supposed to do, and then when it got to the last full content update, it did the same thing. No upload. I am trying to use an everyday cartridge (Wrap it Up) to make a card, and the Imagine will not cut until it has the update. I disconnected all my firewalls, as well as my anti-virus. I have no other programs running. turn it off and back on again; uninstalled the drivers and installed them again. any ideas of what could be wrong? I am very frustrated !!!

Hi Madison, I can't speak to the Mac but I had the same problem with the last update and I run Windows 7. There are some of us who just could not get the content to update. If you are at this point, the only other thing you can try is the system restore. There is a sticky a the top of this forum with detailed instructions from Chris (a nice word doc as I recall). I had never had to do one before, but this last update I did. For me, the Restore also got stuck after sending file 1 of 2 (again content). At that point I turned it off and went back to the regular update and that time it completed the content update. HTH. If not post back.

You're going to have to do a system restore. For some reason this last update is hanging up on the content update for some. As CoahsNana posted, there's a sticky on how to do so from Chris that shows screen shots etc. too. I've done updates with my Mac and PC and either one is hit and miss at times. A system restore on a fast internet speed can take 45 minutes to an hour so plan on something to do. Also make sure if you're computer goes to sleep mode or screen saver etc. that it doesn't knock you offline. HTH :)Khrista

I just bought the I this BF '11. How do I know if it needs an update? Do I use the cricut sync that I use with the E to update. can I use the cord from the I to update the E? I dont think I have ever updated the E, at least I don't remember doing so and don't see an E cord to update it.

You know that it needs an update because there are only 3 icons on the menu screen, you need to have 4 (they added the "print paper" icon) In order to update you will need to plug in the white cord that came with your I to your computer and open up "cricutsync" it should be pretty explanatory from there. You can use the same cord that came with the E but I believe that the one that came with the I is longer. HTH! Happy playing! Deezy http://deezydoesiteezy.blogspot.com/
