Thanks for letting us know about this video. It is a much watch if you just got your E2 like I did. It shows all the features in detail and tells you what has been updated since the machine has been manafactured and packaged for sale.

I wasn't sure if I should upgrade, especially since I've been reading that people have been having problems when they did. But I'm going to bite the bullet, cross my fingers and update my E2 so I have the new features they showed in this video. Hope it works and doesn't spoil my Mother's Day since the E2 is my gift from my wonderful hubby and son.

I have had my E2 3 weeks today (happy 3rd week birthday to my toy). My beloved OH bought it from Ideal World at it's launch as a surprise for me (I love him so muchLove ). This video is great for newbies like me. I like to have things verballyand visually explained rather than read about things. I was having doubts about if i wanted to keep it or not but i have now gone over the 2 week deadline so obviously have to keep it! I think now after listening and watching the video i might have more pleasure/use from it. There was one thing though. I was under the impression from Ideal World that some samples they showed which they said had been done on the gypsy and then cut were from the pre-loaded cartridges but obviously this was not so and was totally misleading as this feature is not available yet. I was going to get the Gypsy at the same time but decided not too. I am so glad now i didn't as i would have been sorely disappointed. I think this should have been made clear during the programme. Apart from that i think the E2 is ok although it did ruin my papers when it came to taking them off the cutting mat. They didn't cut through or the paper tore as i was removing it. But i have realised from reading some posts that this is because the mat is so sticky when new! maybe this should have also been explained. I'm pretty sure i will learn to love my E2 as many others love their Cricuts. SoniaThumpUp

Mercy, First, THANK YOU SO MUCH! I know I was a real pain last month whining about the fact that PC does not notify us of updates before they are available or provide Release Notes as to what they contained. I feel like my whining paid off. As a software engineer, I could never install software without my clients knowing what was changed or when it was coming. This is a positive first step. Now all we need to do is work on getting them to put out these RELEASE NOTES before the release with the date it will be available. Again, thank you so much and thank you PC!

Oh c'mon now. I'm not talking weeks here. They have to know at least 24 hrs in advance that they are going to put a release on c-sync. I'm sure even a company like PC has change controls for software releases?!?!?!

I think it's not that the updating the actual machine from here,
it's the hooking it up to the computer, that there are sooooooooooooooooo many variables
that can go wrong/screw up the computer, is what's making me nervous...

Hi mhjudge67, If you don't already have Cricut Sync on your computer, you can download here. It should also download the most current Adobe Air.

http://www.cricut.com/cricutsync/

Using the white cord that came with your E2, plug it into a USB port on your computer. Turn on the E2 and wait for the USB noise. Launch c-sync and it should connect to your E2 and search for updates. Depending on your anti-virus/firewall, you made need to add the software to your exception list or temporarily disable. If you run into problems, post back. HTH
