Release Notes for the E2:
July 18, 2011There is a new Firmware update for the E2 available on Cricut Sync.
This will update the E2 to
Firmware version 0027.
This firmware update includes the following:
New Features:• 12x24 Mat Scrolling
Enhancements:• Increased margins for larger cuts
• Improved handshake timeout for CCR
Bug Fixes:• Fixed a sizing bug that prevented shapes from being bigger than 10.5”
• Clicking fit-to-page when your design spans more than one mat will now fit the shapes onto one mat
This following are still known issues to be addressed in future updates:
Known Issues: •– Apply All button does not show up active (green) even though it is in use.
•– When using Undo Apply All kerning is not changed back to the previous value.
• – Undo Apply All makes it look as if all settings have been reset.
• –Character Spacing is not affected by Apply All Undo
• – Large negative values of character spacing (kerning) does not grey out shapes.
• – Large negative values of character spacing (kerning) causes Auto Fill not to work without explaining to the user why.
• – Large negative values of character spacing (kerning) uses Fit to Page to affect the character spacing.
• – Character spacing (kerning) values change too quickly when you click and hold.
• – Fit to Length button does not turn green when it is turned on.
• – Start Position button does not turn green when it is turned on.
• – The Cutting light does not work with Gypsy.
• – The Heart Image on the internal Alphabet cartridge will sometimes overlap with other images.
•– When the Gypsy is disconnected from the Expression 2 the Home screen does not display for 10-30 seconds.
•– The Auto Fill button is still active when the design uses more than one mat.
•Enhancement – Kerning should always display a value and not a “-“.
•Enhancement – Provide smaller increments for adjusting character spacing (kerning).
