When you are in the editing screen, in the center of the screen, towards the bottom, there is a plus /minus: + / - with numbers on each side. On each side of the icon: the left is true size and the right relative size. It is on pg 26 of handbook @ bottom of page w/ description. HTH Debbie :)

When you press the True and Real Dial Size it changes from green to white, should it be white or green? Also to determine the Real Dial Size, do we need to first select the largest item on our mat and put that to Real Dial Size so that anything else cut matches that sizing? I am very confused on this.

I am still a little confused w/ this as well but, I was over on the yahoo group and read this question. This is what Chris @ PC told Lynn McNally: (They are talking about the 3D image of a haunted house) Question: So did you cut all the parts in "fit to page"? I didn't know if each of the > pieces would fit together right by doing it this way. how many pages did it > take? I have not started yet. I have been on the computer reading the groups > emails. :-) just want to read all the tips and hints I can on making this > haunted house. :-) > > Lynn McNally Answer: If you hit "Fit to Page" your pieces will not fit together correctly. When my daughter and I did the 3D Haunted House we adjusted the size of the biggest piece in the project until it fit on the page and then sized all the other pieces "rel" or relative to that piece. That worked perfectly for us. Chris Provo Craft If you haven't checked this forum/email site out it is very informative. I go to yahoo home pg and then to mail. So if I am reading correctly you put the Imagine on relative sizing, pick largest piece of project and the other pieces will match correctly. HTH Debbie :)

Thank you so much! I will retry this and pick my largest size. I thought this might be the reason my project was all off....

It took me some time to go through pgs to find the link. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/cricutdemowa/I had to write it down - couldn't get the copy and paste to work so if for some reason it doesn't work for you I found the link on pg 15 under Where are the official PC announcements here on the Imagine. posted by shopalot42. Gracefulgrammar gave the link. HTH Debbie :)

Thank you for posting this:) I am struggling with this.
Some questions about this topic. When I click on either of those the size changes for both the ral and relative. Is it supposed to do that? I tried doing the above suggestion because I have a project that is giving me a hard time. On the Nursery Tails Cart I am trying to do the last project on page 19. I have the relative button clicked white so that I can print each of these images in a layer so they can be put together.
Problem is my last image the bird prints huge and doesnt fit the project. Does that make sense?
Can someone else try this one and let me know what I am doing wrong:(

Can someone else try this one and let me know what I am doing wrong:( I cut the image: when you add image to tool bar meaning you hit the plus sign. click on the pencil to edit while it is still highlighted. click your layers key, make sure you are on the right side (relative) for sizing and then adjust size to be what you want. I cut it at 5 and everything cut perfectly for sizing. The bird, deer, and tree cut correctly. I also am learning and trying to get it in my head LOL of how do to this. HTH Debbie :) PS: if you think of relative this way it might help: objects will be relative to each other - meaning the bird will be correctly sized for the tree. True size means the actual size of the object.
