Everyone is encouraged to join in each Wednesday for three new sketches that will inspire you to expand your card-making techniques. A different Host-of-the-Week from this wonderful group of ladies will post three sketches for you to try and interpet any way you wish, into a card. Make all of them or only the ones you wish, all you have to do is share them here with everyone.
The ONLY rule is to have FUN!

These are the three sketches for this week:

Extra Credit: Use at least one cut you have NEVER used before on each sketch from any Cricut cartridges of your choice.

Turtlebug, pretty neat sketches this week! Thanks for hosting! You have outdone yourself on your first card! Such a different look, but it is so wonderful! Love how you did it all! Such a pretty card for sketch 2! Love the colors and paper you chose on that one! Cute little birds, and great use of gems on their eyes! I really love how your sketch 3 turned out too! I especially love the boxes with the string on them, and that brad! Very nice!

Raquel, thanks for posting the ad colors!

Wow Turtlebug great great sketches! #1 looks like it will be a real challenge you did a great job on your sample, as easy as it looks those angles like that are tough.
All you sample are fabulous #2 great use of that stamp to go along with that great cut from Sophie #3 AWESOME love that dino, he is so cute great job. Hope to get to work on them tomorrow, today my Godson from Kentucky is coming over and we have not seen him in probably 10 years.

I'm designing mine on Design Studio and using notecard size 4.25" x 5.5" (half of a cardstock then folded in half)

In order for the squares/cut out to come out right you have to use a square card mine is 5.5 x 5.5. I designed the cut on my Gypsy and finally got it! It was a challenge but I got it, my card is done just haven't taken pictures yet and it came out so cool.

AND yes Bingolady you have made me very proud. Love your card.

britishgirl,
Sorry you are having a hard time with sketch #1. I thought it was sort of tricky, too, when I first saw it. But, I actually made a templet out of vellum on my MS graph cutting mat (or any graph sheet), just staggering every 3 squares (3 down, 2 across and so on) as I went and then traced it on to my gray cardstock. The black is the full size as the card which is 5" X 6 and a half inches. I was surprised it came out perfect the first time.

Here is my templet:

Hope this works for you!

Wow! That took more time than I thought it would. Thanks for the challenge. I took the ad colors a little too seriously. They look brighter on my computer than in real life. They match the add colors perfectly in real life.

New cut: popsicle from Doodlecharms, then cut in half
Celebrate: from Celebrations
squares: punch
hard zig-zag: designed myself

TFL!

Since I already made all my cards, I still wanted to make a quick AC card. I decided to make it using Sketch #1 again, cause I really like it and changed it up a bit. Raquel chose some very yummy colors that I just couldn't resist!Drool Drool

My Ad Color Challenge Card:
Oval - Spellbinders
Sentiment - Computer-generated
Embossing- "Perfectly Paisley" CuttleBug folder
Added some mint Bling and sheer chocolate ribbon & bow.

BingoLady, wonderful job on your sketch 1 card! Love the red and white together!!!

LadyBugJett, aww, you need to enter that at My Sheri Crafts this week! The theme is Ice cream cones, etc! Such a cute card!

Turtlebug, you really are cooking on getting all the cards done, plus the ad color one done! I am not sure if I will get a card done or not!?!? My daughter and her family are coming to stay with us today for a few months while their house is being built! I will try my hardest to participate, but with grand kids running around, I am not sure when I will be able to make it into the craft room!?!?!

Turtlebug - Thanks for hosting, love the challenging sketches, Your sample cards are great. love all the embossing, I usually don't like "bird" cards but yours inspires me, I really like what you did with the string on the dino card. I think the placement of your ribbon on the ad colors card was brilliant.

Bingolady - I really like the colors on your card number 1, it really pops

Hi everyone, so here is my sketch one that seems to be the big challangeHuh well I guess that is why they call this a challenge. I was bound and determined to cut it with my Cricut so I worked on it with my Gypsy and this is what I came up with.
Kanji - Happiness

I have posted more information and pictures of my Gypsy screen on my blog

Here's #2. Turtlebug, I really didn't mean to "copy" you. Let's just say that you inspired me and when I saw that cute little bird, I had to do it.

Bird: Nifty Fifties
Phrase: Just Because Cards
Scallop: Celebrations
