Happy 4th July to you all.

As you may know this challenge runs for 7 days and is open for anyone to join in. I offer you 3 sketches which you can follow or just pick the bits out that go well on the card for you. We only ask one thing that you come back and show us what you have done. If you like you can do all 3 or if time is short just do one.
I do have an extra choice for you in-case you don't want any of the above and that is to do a card that includes a sport that will be seen and medals won at the Olympic's this year held over here in the UK, you could just include the Olympic rings.

Well here are the sketches. The first 2 are from pagemaps.com and the third is Tuesday Morning Sketches. As I mentioned last week I am in the middle of having my bathrooms refitted so I have no samples ready to show you yet but I am working on it. Have fun and looking forward to seeing your cards.

Sue, thanks for hosting! Great set of sketches!!! Sorry about the mix up on your birthday! I do know that your birthday is tomorrow, on the 5th!

I did get the first sketch done! All I could see is a Christmas tree trailing down for the tags! I don't feel like I quite pulled off the sketch, and I don't feel like it is a very good card anyway, but I did get one card done, lol!

Thanks for the great sketches. I have company coming for the weekend, but I hope to be able to spend some time in the craft room.

Here are this weeks colors. I think they will be a bit more of a challenge. LOL.

Here is my first card this week. It uses sketch 3. It is an order for a girl in work to give her friend. The card is A5 in size and uses up some free papers along with some paper flowers I have had a wee while. The sentiment is a rub on from Kaisercraft and I used Spellbinders, afraid no Cricut on this cardBlushing , I will do better next time. TFL

#1 - When I first saw this sketch it looked like it was going to be really hard for me to try to interpet into a card. But, you did a great job with it, hope I can do it justice, also!! Love the Christmasy colors and the Poinsettia with the flourish. Very nice card.

AcrossThePond#3 - LOVE all the Browns and flowers. Like the flourish and great sentiment. Very pretty.

cstanzione
Client's Project - What a great job you did for this lady, I can see why she absolutely loved it!! May be the start of a new career for you???!!
Sorry, but I already have all the folders you are selling. Hope you get some buyers for them.

Very wet in Tucson today....Our 4th of July fireworks all over town will probably fizzle out, for sure!!

Sneaking in for a little bit during our 4th of July celebration. The police came by to check out what kind of fireworks we have... hah hah (they claimed one of our neighbors complained about the noise, which they've never had for the last 10 years we've lived here)... it's illegal to have fireworks in Florida except during certain holidays and still illegal for some fireworks to be used completely

The police gave hubby a warning and said we can only have sparklers... hah hah!

AcrossThePond: thanks for hosting and the wonderful sketches. I will try to get to these soon. Beautiful sketch 3! Is the sentiment a stamp?

SandyPalmer: beautiful interpretation of sketch 1... very clever! Love this

DeeScraps: thanks for the colors... OH MY! That is quite a bit of colors but will definitely try to get this one done

*NanaDonna*:
oh I'm so sorry to hear about your a/c problem. I know exactly how that feels and it gets hot pretty quick inside the house here... you being in Texas... I can relate

cstanzione: more beautiful layouts... love love love those intricate black frames! You do such gorgeous work with those. Oooh a layout with feathers! Hah hah! Love that one

Turtlebug:
sorry about your wet 4th of July... hopefully it clears out by the time you have fireworks

My # 1 and ad colors I didn't have green so I used lime green and of course my new embossing folder.
# 3 I used Sentimentals cart. And the sentiment is a one of the stamps that Nana Donna bought me. This two
SILaws are the greatest, Turtlebug bought me some dish towels, when they went to Colorado, cause they missed me.LOL

Good morning Ladies, still no air conditioning here, being a holiday yesterday you can not get anyone out here without paying a lot. So hopefully we can get someone out here this morning.
NOPE hubby just called and not till tomorrow before noon!!!! Luckily the rain yesterday really cooled it down here, at least out side. Hard to get the inside cooled off. So we sat outside on our front deck and watched the baseball game and fireworks.

I did try for a little while to go in my room with my fan blowing on meLOL and worked on sketch #1 but again I was fighting with my machine (Imagine), I don't know why I put myself through this everytime, with the heat and fighting with the Da...Cursing Cursing Cursing Cursing machine I was near tearsCrying Crying . It is a darn good this PC was not there yesterday or that I don't live close the them!!!Mad Mad Mad Mad I was told that CCR had a problem communicating with the Imagine so I set up the cut file to print and cut using my Gypsy and it kept telling me it was not connected GRRRRR, then I tried to cut directly on the Imagine and every time I put something on my mat my Imagine would turn off!!!!!!!!!!!!Huh Huh I want to print the cuts out using the papers on the Blossom cartridge.

So I finally took my Gypsy to my Create and cut out the pieces. Well we will see how far I get today! Now I really really can't wait for my Cameo.

My #2 Sketch Card in the AD Colors:

Flowers - Accent Essentials
Sentiment - Rubber Stamp from Michael's
Tag - Made by hand (can't you tell!LOL)
Addd metal Brads, embroidery thread to buttons and assorted embossing to each flower and put on top of Vellum paper. The black background is NOT part of the card.

Only way I had to use all the Ad Colors on my card. Hope it counts!!
TFL!!Laugh

I think the police were just looking to confiscate something but they didn't. They ended up just giving a warning. We knew it wasn't the neighbors since later that night (a few hours later)... the neighbors were right out there with hubby lighting up fireworks BigGrin

The rub on stamp is quite lovely! I didn't think it was computer generated, if it was, it had to be an image. I also didn't think it was a stamp because... well... it's just too clean? LOL... I'm not sure if that's the correct word I'm looking for

cstanzione: very pretty cards... the little hearts are perfect for the sketch. Love the shimmer on the butterfly card. You have such pretty papers!

Turtlebug: oh that is so cute! Love all those buttons and great use of the vellum to tone down the background paper. Awesome job tackling the Ad colors!

Sandy, awesome Xmas card like the way you did the tree.

Sue, nice like the colors and the flowers look so pretty.

Cindy, wow you have been buzy, like all the layouts. And your cards came out so nice.
The one with the BF I like the paper you used.

Turtlebug, nice way to use those buttons, it came out so bright and colorful.
