Turtlebug – Thanks so much for hosting this week and for the great sketches! I’m up for the challenge of designing my own – haven’t done that it a while since I’ve been taking part in the RAQ challenges. Great idea too on making a wedding card!

Great samples today: love the choice of paisley paper and use of paisley embossing folder for sketch #1. I really like the black and white card! Wonderful sketch 3 and I like how you used the embossing in the corners too! That background paper is so lovely!

Hi, going to try and post from photo bucket my wedding card. I made it 2 weeks ago and I am sure I didn't post this one ( I had to make 2 almost together) This was for my cousin Laura who was married on the 26 May. We had no idea of the wedding colours so I just chose this along with the white.
The card is a 8x8, I embossed the top part of the white front with "tied the knot", I used a mix of Tim Holtz and Marrianne dies along with Spellbinder dies. The sentiment is from Creative Expressions.
Well here goes, thanks for looking. Oh and the sketch was in my head sorry.

Hello ladies...been missing in action again but have been able to get a few cards done hit and miss. As soon as a new cord gets here for my laptop I will be able to post again. Hope to be back on a regular basis in the near future (until the next life's journey gets in the wayLOL.

Warning: In the last month I have moved and now have to share a craft area with my kitchen (my creativity is in this same matchbox...almost nonexistent) so am going to be trying to use up a lot of really old paper and boy are they ugly lol but going to give it my best shot. Have to rent for at least a year before we can start looking for our own place again. I am counting down the months already, 10 more months.

Bingolady: Thank you for the sketches. Very pretty sketch 1...beautiful colors. Awesome dad card...must get mine started:) Very nice sketch #3.

Deescraps: Love the colors...thank you.

Acrossthepond: Your wedding card is absolutely gorgeous. I just completed mine for my niece's wedding and it is nothing compared to your beauty...can we trade:)

Bingolady: A big congratulations on your anniversary. Beautiful and many more to you. I too am celebrating my anniversary today though definitely not as long as you...20 years for me. Must have been something in the air for this date:)

Don't feel alone, I can't draw to save my life! When you see my sketch you will see why Hallmark is NOT beating a path to my door! You will do just fine.BigGrin

AcrossThePond,
Extra Credit - WOW!! What a pretty card! Love all the pretty details and really like the embossing. Everything is so nicely coordinated. Stickpins and flowers so very pretty.

BingoLady,
Extra Credit: Very nice Wedding card in the Ad Colors. Love the sentiment and pretty floral ribbon!

LisaW.,
Glad to have you back! Small space is good, if you are like me...the more space I have the bigger mess I make when craftingLOL. Will be watching for your "ugly paper" cardsLOL.

Well Ladies...here is my before and after Extra Credit Wedding Card:

Embossing - Hearts: Darice Embossing Folder
Swiss Dots: CuttleBug Embossing Folder
Heart Border - Martha Stewart Punch
Flower - Flower Shopp Cartridge (Thanks, NanaDonna)
Lovebirds and Branch - Tie the Knot Cartridge (Thanks, Bingo Lady)
Corner Hearts - Friskar Punch
Sentiment - Computer-generated
Tag - Ribbon Tag Trio Two Spellbindes
Added green and white pearls, stickpins, pearl bouquet and cut the Lovebirds out of glittered cardstock. The lavander cardstock has a very pretty pearly finish to it, doesn't show very well. The branch is brown with green leaves...oh well!

I drew my sketch, but by the time I was done with the actual card, it had sort of transformed itself!!LOL LOL

Here is my card for #1. I needed a card for my Auntie who has been over here for 3 weeks frem Seattle and goes back on Sunday. She is 80 this year and has come over on her own. My Mum (her sister) will be so sad to see her go back as she always thinks this will be the last time they will see each other (she has been thinking this for the last 3 visits mind). She was with us for my cousins wedding and the Queens Jubilee so she has lots to tell her family when she gets home.

It is 6x6 and has to be red white and blue. Thanks for looking

Sue

I made this card for an anniversary card, but perhaps it could work for extra credit and be a wedding card!
I used the card feature on the Sweethearts cartridge- cut at 5"
I even got brave and did handwriting on the front!
