**Xtra Credit** I know so many people like the different fold cards. For extra credit this week, try a Double Dutch Fold card. Click on the link below to be directed to a tutorial by Split Coast Stampers :-)

Beautifully simply Sue, love the splash of color with the flower.

Since you all have seen so many Navy cards and all know I have two grandsons in the Navy I thought
I would share this with you my card making family.

Last night the submarine the USS Miami had a fire on it. It is dry docked in Portsmouth Naval shipyard for up
grades and maintenance. My grandson is assigned to the USS Miami and was there when the fire broke out.
There were 7 minors injuries (mostly firefighters) all treated and released. It took 10 hours to put the fire out
so they are all very tired. Please just say a prayer for the crew of the USS Miami and those that got injured

Suevan.....Very nice #3 sketch. I really like the color combo and now the Cricut heart goes so well with the MS punch. The paper stack you used on sketch #2 is a favorite of mine. Love the big flower and how you used the clip.

British Girl......Beautiful card. Love how the card opens....the punches you used...and the flower goes perfect.

SandyPalmer.....A very striking card. the colors really pop and the stamp is adorable. What border punch did you use?

Bingo lady....What a great card. The colors are a wonderful combination and the flowers are perfect for the sketch. Also liked how you embossed the top and the thin ribbon you used.

Suevan – Thanks for the great sketches and I will try the double dutch fold card! Great idea to show us a new technique! Your sketch #3 is so pretty – can’t tell that your paper is old!BigGrin Love the simplicity of your Sketch #2 – black and ivory with a pop of pink is stunning!

DeeScraps – Thanks for the ad colours – I have an idea using one of my paper stacks! Wonderful card in the ad colours – the inking of the edges makes everything stand out nicely!

Britishgirl – Wow great card for Sketch #1! It turned out so well! Love your borders and pretty flower!

Sandy – Love your sketch #1! The image is adorable and great colours! Sure to cheer someone up that is under the weather!

NanaDonna – Sorry to hear about your DGS’ crew. TFS their plight with us and glad to hear that no one was seriously injured. Sending prayers their way!

BingoLady – Great Sketch #3 - wonderful arrangement of flowers against the red background!

I will have a few cards to show tomorrow – some elements are drying now and a bit of re-work of one card that I didn’t like the finished look!

BingoLady, such pretty flowers, and I really love embossing strip!

DeeScraps, such a wonderful look with all the inking around the edges! Great papers, and love that big flower! The punch that I used is a MS punch called bangle chain!

NanaDonna, oh wow, will keep everyone in our prayers!

Hope everyone is having a great Friday! RAQ if you're reading this, we still miss you!

Here is my sketch #1 in the ad colours. I did 2 versions of it since I didn't like the first one. I'm showing both. The image with the darker green layering and embossed pattern on the bottom is the one I like best. What do you think? Should I have re-done it? My family think I'm crazy but it just didn't sit right with me.

Cricut used: Forever Young for the purse, Elegant Edges for the green border
Other elements: Tim Holtz doily die and embosssing folder for the bottom background paper and tissue flower using SB petite scalloped circles

Here is Sketch #3 - simple, summer-type card. Cricut used: Elegant Cakes for the top border. There are some nice cuts for cards on that cake cartridge. The flower is saddle-stitch ribbon that you just pull to twist into a flower.

Sketch #2 - I had some fun using distress ink and Crackle paint on this card. Flower is made with canvas.

Cricut used: Indie Art and Accent Essentials for gears, From my Kitchen for telephone, Gypsy Wanderings for butterfly and Elegant Edges for light blue background.
