When joining two shapes / objects together in ccr some areas gray out besides the edges that I want welded, does anyone know what causes this?

Sometimes it means you need to adjust how far the objects overlap.

And sometimes you can simply move your objects to a different place on the mat. See post #3 in this thread for an example: http://main.cricut.com/communit...multiples-of-a-word.aspx

Thanks for the link and answer.
I've tried everything and it still doesn't work.
Guess I will have to try a different shape.:(
Thanks again though!
