Shelby,
Thanks for Hosting this week and for the nice sketches. Thanks for posting your samples, too! I find the sample cards very useful when deciding on how to interpet my sketches. Will try to post mine ASAP, am going to my monthly Lunch Date today with my friends from my High School days!!

SHELBYWOO: those are some sweet sketches! Thanks for hosting and I will definitely try to get the extra credit done as well. You sample cards are nice... you are just on top of everything aren't you? What is that you used for card 1, some sort of doily? Love it! Great colors on card 2, love that ribbon and the flowers, of course. Ooooh card 3 has your signature all over it! Love that goo border trim and the background paper! Well done on all of them

Ok, the following comments below is a copy from last week's challenge I posted on the last page, in case you missed it:

SandyPalmer: great male cards! Both of them are done so nice and neatly. Great job with that frame technique. I like the antique look to both of them

DeeScraps: that is one beautiful and adorable card... love every detail of it

cstanzione: wow... you've been busy! I hope things are alright with you. Love the flower arrangement on card 1 (of course)... wow, nice job with heat embossing or glitter on card 2, cute Elmo and Abby card, love that ester basket. Ok, love love love the post-it note pads. I've been meaning to make these and I just haven't gotten around to them

joanneorbash: such a pretty card, love all the glitter but wow on those flowers... love the stacking to make them all so full

Well I am off to a flying start this weekBigGrin , I needed a guy card for an order. I was given no instructions on what to put on it or about the age of the personBlink . So when I saw sketch #1 I thought it would work well.
It is a 6x6 card and all papers are out of a paper pack I bought from Michael's when we were over last year. Thats is that good old stamp I have and some SB,Blushing Blushing sorry no cricut on this one. The other smaller card is for my £ box, used up the strip of card left from cutting a 5x5 card base from a A4 sheet. TFL

I'll eventually share pics of my stash and show you all why I've put myself on this ban in the first place

DeeScraps: thanks for posting the Ad colors... these are great classic color combination!

SandyPalmer:
WOOHOO! You found the image of the 2 bunnies! I couldn't find it anymore when I went to give credit for it... LOL! Great job on your extra credit sketch 2... so cute

AcrossThePond: two great birthday cards! Love that birthday stamp with the tiny print next to the big birthday font. Neat colors and prints, great for a guy card. Love the faux buttons!

A busy work day today but peeked at the sketches during coffee over breakfast to start the creative process!

Thanks Michelle for the wonderful sketches and samples and Dee for the ad colours!

Michelle – Great Sketch #1 – the doily frame is so lovely! Great birthday card for sketch #2 – like the flower and how the frame is placed in the center and the sentiment off to the right! Wonderful Sketch #3 and as I’m learning in your favourite colour!

Sandy – What a cute Easter card – love everything – the image, the frame the cute flower buttons, ethe border and ribbon! Great Mother’s Day card for Sketch #3! We were both thinking rosettes for this challenge! Like how you placed a tag behind the rosette and lovely pearl and lace border.

Sue (Acrossthepond) – What perfect guy cards for Sketch #1 – love the different colours and buttons. Both are so perfect!

Joyful Carol – great cards from last week’s sketches. It is a challenge to stay on top!

BingoLady – Lovely, colourful card for Sketch #1 – very pretty butterflies! Great layout for Sketch #2 – perfect cutouts for each image and lovely embellishments!

Here is my card for Sketch #3 – my daughter’s friend was accepted to study in France. Cricut used – Ribbons & rosettes for rosette and border, Sweethearts for Fleur de lys centre on rosette and Celebrations for banner.

Flapper Well, here you go, Sketch #3 from last week! Hopefully tomorrow I will get to this week's sketches
The "Thank You" is cut from Lovely Floral at 2". I had intended to emboss the light colored paper, but lost my mind and adhered it to the front of the card before I got it done! Blushing So, I ventured out and tried to stamp a few flowers on the front. I believe a redder ink would have been better, but other than that I thought it came out nicely.

I haven't had a chance to work on the sketches but hopefully, I'll have time tonight!

Joyful Carol:
your cards from last week's sketches are so pretty. I love all the papers you used! Those glittery papers are so pretty. Great job with Minnie, those cuts always so many pieces!

SandyPalmer:
very pretty sketch 3... love love the use of lace and pearls on this... so beautiful. Glittery paper is also my favorites!

BingoLady: great use of Ad colors for both cards. Your picture card is so adorable and love the little lady bugs all over the place! Thanks for sharing those pictures

Gisele: what a pretty card in French colors. I like all the embellishments you used here. I must look into Ribbons and Rosettes cartridge

sunnieday: ooooh yummy lollipop! Love the papers on this yummy card

I played bridge and if you're looking for only 4 particular cards... that is very hard to determine. The BEST possible hand (which is also practically impossible to get dealt) is having all 13 Spades. Of course, in the real world, any hand you are dealt that can win you the bid of 7 NO Trump would be considered the best hand. There are thousands of bridge hand combinations but the "dream hand" would be

Spades: A K Q J
Hearts: A K Q
Diamonds: A K Q
Clubs: A K Q

If you're limited to only 4 cards, then 4 Aces would be good.

I hope any of these help. I suppose you can also use common bridge terms in your card but I've only seen those in "humor" type cards
