Hi to all, come on over and play everyone is welcome.
Below are 3 sketches to get you started. You can try out any or all 3. All we ask is you come back and show us what you have been up to. We all love to Drool over the work posted.

This time I have 2 card sketches for you to try, along with a sketch for a layout, however you could easy change it up for a card design. As before please try to use at least one Cricut cut on each and thats all there is to it. Oh and lets take it easy out there work your stash too.

Sorry I am posting early but its bed time here and I know there will be a few people hoping to see them before they go to bedWink you know who you are.

Regards

Sue

Thanks Sue the sketches look great, sure hope this week is better for me, don't like these busy weeks where I have a hard time getting into my craft room.

Karen I feel the same about making a layout, I have never made one.

Sue, thanks for hosting! Love all the sketches, but I am especially excited about the first sketch! Looks amazing! You must have been talking about me, lol! I love seeing the sketches early! Wink

NanaDonna, I think I am with you on the layout part! I have made a few, but it isn't a comfort zone that's for sure! The third sketch will be a challenge for us to make it into a card! Wink

I love doing both but I am partial to layouts because they stay with me, atleast until the kids are adults and want them to show their own kids! BigGrin I can look at them whenever I want.

The layout sketch looks fairly simple. Just envision a 5" square card in your head and then add 7" to the size of everything. Smile

I think you can get that background shape from accent essentials and a few wallet photos and you are good to go.

I'll cheer you on! Go Nana! Go Nana! You can do it! You can do it!!!!!! Now go make a layout and make us all proud! Razz

I tell you it's not easy to host as you have to hope everyone can see what you like about the sketches and feel happy to give them a go.
The sites that the sketches came frome had some wonderful samples to show. #1 is from Tuesday morning sketches, #2 is fron a closed site called 2 sketches 4 u and afraid I can't think of the 3rd.

Soshescraps all 3 could be layouts at a push or just reduce the size and hay presto a card is born.
Turtlebug - I saw a fab card made using #3, I am sure you will do the same with it.

Good morning everyone. I was just catching up on reading the posts from last week and it was nice to know I was missed. I'm amazed at how many folks we have joining in.

Great sketches. I'm planning to give the layout a try. BigGrin

Here are the ad colors for this week.

Think of it this way.....layouts are like large cards and cards are like small layouts.

I love making cards but I love doing layouts more. I think it has more to do with looking the pictures and remembering little things about each event. I like working on a bigger scale also, more room to add 'stuff'.Laugh So make a layout and show us what I am sure will be great

I also found my School Spirit Week layouts in the highlighted threads of the Chirp email this morning. A first for me to see that!

Dee - Yes, colors are great. I can definitely work with those for the cards!

Can't wait to get started.

Hi Ladies,
I'm not afraid to make a LO page...I just don't know what I would do with just one page. I know I wouldn't continue to add to it or make new albums....I'm just not into layout pages and putting the albums together. If my dear grandchildren were younger (like Little Miss Emma!) I would. I know they make great memories for the whole family, as ShelbyWoo has so nicely shared with all of us!BigGrin

Wow! Lots of activity today!

Turtlebug – I do share your thoughts on making layouts – what would we do with just one page! BigGrin My kids are too old (17 and 20) and no grandkids yet so maybe there is hope one day! I do love seeing other people’s layouts though!

Dee thanks for the colours!

Sandy – Beautiful Easter card! Pretty flower with white branches, nice pearl accents and the image is so well done! Great job at turning the layout into a card!

Sunnieday - Great Sketch 1 – like the flowers with the clusters! Cute sketch #2 – lovely blue! Wonderful #3 – love all the inking on the edges to give dimension to the frames, pots, etc. Great use of various carts!

Suevan – Great card for #3! Love your choice of cardstock! I didn’t know that about you but I feel better now because I’ve done some tweaking with some of my cards on the past challenges. BigGrin

I’m finishing up my cards and will post tomorrow!

Here is my Sketch #2 in the Ad Colors:

Circle: Accent Essentials Cartridge
WISH: Stamping Cartridge
Embossing:Swirls CB Folder
Stars: Mini "star" punch
Sprayed the stars and sentiment with gold Glimmer Mist. Added a yellow rosebud bow and rounded the yellow cardstock corners. Slightly inked the edges of the circle with blue ink. The border strip is from the edge of the printed paper under the yellow cardstock.
