SandyPalmer: thank you for hosting and with such pretty sketches. I'm going to wait on making cards for these sketches until the Ad colors are posted. However, I will try to make layouts this week. At first glance, the sketches looked like they would be perfect for layouts as well... which is something I've been neglecting in doing and I really need to start!

Sandy, thanks for the great sketches. Here are this weeks colors. Have fun with them.

Raquel, I also need to start on pages. Maybe we should add a page sketch each week along with the cards. It might motivate us. I'm not sure that watercolor pencils will work with the Copics. I use the Prisma Pencils - the wax ones.

Bingo Lady...You do very nice cards!

Off to have breakfast.....

I know you will all be shocked but I got sketch #2 done already AND it is in
the ad colors too!Drool
Now I have to confess and say I had started this card yesterday before the sketches came out
and it just so happened that I could fit it into sketch #2 for the most part.
I was so surprised to see the colors when they were posted as that part was right on
Elegant Edges for the green border down the side
A Child's Year for the label that the happy birthday is stamped on.
The flower is a Delicious Doodle digital image that I colored with my Copics

BINGOLADY - your cards are always so wonderful you truly are a great
card makerLove so don't sell yourself short after all look who your teacher is BigGrin BigGrin ThumpUp Woot

BingoLady, we always enjoy seeing your cards! Keep them coming! Smile

Turtlebug, I knew in advanced and have my shades on already waiting to be dazzled! Cool

NanaDonna, I had to laugh because I worked on sketch 2 all morning long and used the ad colors myself! I even steered away from my usual people images and went for flowers also, lol! Plus, I made it a birthday card too! LOL Your card is just beautiful! Those papers and flowers are gorgeous!

My sketch 2!

Dee - Thanks for the ad colours!

Bingolady - What's this?? You make such wonderful cards too - can't wait to see what you'll do this week!

Sandy - You've been busy with the sketches. Wow! for sketch 1 - it is amazing. Love the cardstock, embellishments and the little angel guy is so adorable. Lovely sketch 2 in the ad colours. Beautiful image, as usual. Wonderful lace embellishment, little flower and pearl accents.

Nanadonna - What a beautiful sketch 2! You did an amazing job with the digital image and lovely pearl additions.

Like Nanadonna, I have a confession to make BigGrin. I was working on a card last night that turns out to fit Sketch #1. It's quite uncanny that it was done in the ad colours too. Sandy and Dee maybe you have been sending vibes through the boards to point us in this direction ?! LOL

So for Sketch 1 - Cricut used was Elegant edges for the frames. I'm working on the inside of the card that will have more cricut and will post it later on this week.

The second card is for Sketch 3. I had the afternoon off today so I had a lot of fun experimenting with this design. The flower was made from Accent Essentials following Tim Holtz grunge flower technique. I inked the edges with Walnut stain distress ink before curling, pinching and shaping the petals. The button is an old one from a stash from my mother-in-law that was passed along to me. The rectangle flower frames were made on the Gypsy welding flowers from Accent Essentials with a rectangle. They were cut on manila cardstock, then inked with Vintage Photo distressed ink, then Glimmer mist was added and finally each little pearl.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's work and hope to start Sketch 2 soon!

SandyP. - Like the scalloped circle with the ribbon through it...did you add eyelets to it? Looks really neat! Love the colors of the printed paper and the cute little fellow! WOW, on card #2 in the AC! So very pretty. Love, love EVERYTHING about it, lots of embellies.

NanaDonna - WOW!! Very pretty card in the AC! Flowers are so pretty and like the BG paper, too! Amanda will love it.

Gisele - Nice #1 card, love the frame and very real-looking flower. Card #3 is very, very pretty. I can see you put alot of time and work into it and it shows! The flower with the inking is beautiful as are the frames with the pearls, The button really finishes it off perfectly.

BingoLady - Card #1 is very nice, like the pretty floral paper and the embossing. Nice touch with the butterfly, too. Love your card #2... you really got the AC right on the nose!! Like the two-tone ribbon and the scalloped edge. Your new "Thanks" CB folder worked great on this card!

Hi Ladies!
Lately I have had alot of trouble having the colors show up true when I post them....so I have decided to put a black background on the screen under my cards when I scan them. Hopefully, this will help, as I spend so much time picking the colors for my cards and then have them post another shade. I thank you all for letting me vent!!Cursing Cursing

Sketch #1 Card:
Embossing - "Clockworks" CuttleBug folder
Oval & Sentiment - Goodybag from NanaDonna (Am guessing she printed the oval from her Imagine??)
Balloon - "Celebrations" Cartridge
Added brass brads, embroidery thread to the balloon(popped the balloon with 3-D tape). And, a metal balloon shape brad. Wanted to make a guy card and hope this one is okay!

Shelby – hope you have fun playing today with your mother-in-law.

BingoLady – lovely sketch one! I like how you took the patterned paper and solid colour to make the flower. Great embossing!

Turtlebug – Great Sketch #2. What a great use of a calendar – the flower is pretty (it does sparkle with the glimmer mist). Like the added ribbon on the top corner too! Your Sketch 1 card is great and certainly manly. Love the “clockworks” embossing – I need to buy that folder! How nice to use some of your goodies. The colours in the photo turned out well – I need to consider using a black background when taking my photos.

Ok, sorry I was gone for the past 2 days... busy busy busy...

WOW on all the cards so far and I see tons of flowers!!! Love love love all the flowers!

TrishaHanson: Welcome! You posted a card from last week's challenge and I'm afraid most people didn't see it. Love your card... I used the same Don Juan cuts to make my hubby's Valentine card as well

DeeScraps: thanks for posting this week's Ad colors. Those are very pretty color combination and I must say I love that dress BigGrin

SandyPalmer: very cute sketch 1! The little winged boy is so cute, great job with the coloring, love the sentiment and the eyelets all over with ribbons coming through them. Your second card is gorgeous... love how you stacked everything and the border on the left side, all the details on it... wow

*NanaDonna*: wonderful job on coloring those flowers... very simple card but gorgeous

Gisele: both cards are so pretty, I'm such a sucker for flowers! Love all the tiny pearls on the second one

BingoLady: you always make great cards! I also LOVE the fact you never forget to use your embossing folders, I often finish a card, then look at it, then I see your name, then I look at my card again and I remembered I didn't emboss! Very pretty cards so far from you... great colors on both... second card... WOW, just love it

Turtlebug: oooh I really like that rich pink color you used and more flowers! Very pretty card, great border punch too. Second card is so cute, love that balloon from Celebrations and I use it often

Trisha Hanson,
Glad you decided to post your very nice Valentines card for your Hubby last week. I like the simplicity of it...can't have too much Bling on a guy card! I'm sure he loved it, since you personally made it just for him. Hope you continue to join us every week and share your creations!
