Jeanne... your day sound wonderful so nice your children are involved in the Church I wish we had 85 deg. weather. it was nice here today no wind actually sat outside and read some cradt books.. Then it started getting cloudy and wind picking up Came in made some Birthday cards and several Anniversary cards. I still need to work on the kids Birthday cards. Can you tell I want to getr back to scrapbooking again.. With me it is one or the other. Although if I am scrapping and need a card then I will stop and do the card. Joy that was quick on the cartridge enjoy it... have a great evening

Joy It really depends on who you ask who she looks like. Some say she looks like Jamal, and some say Adam. I just smile and agree. When Jamal's sist3ers came over I got out the scrapbooks from when Khalid, Adam, and Alya were newborns. Everyone had a different pick. I tihnk she looks like me. Not really, I think she looks like herself.
So I was thinking about this quite a bit, today Layla is 5 weeks old, however, she was born at 41 weeks not 40 weeks so wouldn't that make her 6 weeks instead? Why is from the day they were born. It just seems odd, never thought about it before.
Nancy I hope the new grandbaby turns face forward by the next ultrasound. Does Patty get anymore ultrasounds? Here I had an ultrasound at every appt. that's just how it's done here I guess. In the States I only had a few.
Sonya too bad about your DH tires. Sounds like you had fun with your friend.
Jeanne what a lovely day with your family. So nice
Sharon I did the picture thing with Adam and Alya too. I didn't think to do it with Khalid. It's kind of fun to see how they grow each month.
I was thinking of doing her foot print each month also. Do you think it would be safe to do that with regular ink? I don't want the ink to seep into her skin and poison her. Of course I would wash it off right away but who knows.

DH raced yesterday, but flat tires ended his day early. He is fixing them now, has glass shards in them. An expensive day, needless to say! What a bummer too bad about the flat tires.

When my DS was a baby, I painted his feet with craft paints and made footprints that way. It washed off much easier than ink did.
DS's arm hasn't healed yet. He's getting much better at his exercises, which is super. He wasn't moving his fingers at all the first week and they got pretty locked up. He's able to move them freely now, thank goodness.

Took my car into the dealership today as it was acting up while we were away in Florida. Kept doing kangaroo jumps, decelerating when we put our foot on the gas & other weird things. Luckily it was just a sensor they said, so will cost around $400. Was thinking it was something more major & would cost more, so happy about that!
Bingo tonight for me! Looking forward to that.
Weather here is hot, high of 87 today, but already 82 at 11.20am, so thinking it may reach 90!
Personally I prefer around 72 with a light breeze, perfect weather for me!

I heard on the news that there is record heat on the East coast! We are actually below normal right now.
I only ever had one ultrasound. The dr was trying to figure out when youngest was due, so he ordered one to measure her bones. They never did figure out a due date. My "due date" was May 15 to June 15. That really narrowed it down.
Sharon, glad your car was an easy fix! Although DH says things are so much more complicated than they were years ago. Everything is computerized.
I would think a water-based ink would be fine for footprints. Especially if you wash it right off.
I just noticed it is RAINING outside. The neighbor has a huge dumpster on the patio FULL and open. That will be a mess.
I will need to work on those "few" birthday party invited today. The number has increased from 30 to 40! I made a background on Photoshop, so I will just print it, and that will save lots of time.

I won three stamp sets from ebay, all in one auction. It is an older series, Smile. I actually kind of had it, but it now lives at oldest's house.
AND, I have the keys to DD's house! The loan will not be through until some time next week, but hopefully in a couple of day, she can get in and start cleaning and painting. She is SO EXCITED! It is a wonderful house - 2800 square feet.

I just won another stamp set. I must quit wandering through stamps on ebay. This one is a CTMH I think called Change of Season. It is various leaves.
Just got home from ANOTHER school board meeting. My countdown is on. I have one year and two months left. Once I am done, I will have 16 years in as a school board member. I think that is called being a glutton for punishment.

Once this term is up on the school board, I am DONE! I will not run again. Pleasant weather, today, I think is predicted, but the weekend will be up into the 80's! I can't wait!!!!! DH took most of the fence down between the two yards last night. Nick is completely puzzled. He will, with hesitation, very carefully walk into the new yard, his tale up (which means he is nervous and not sure). He even seems to have a puzzled look on his face. The renters had a Doberman. He was not a year yet, still a puppy, but a BIG full grown puppy. Years ago, we had to stake the fence down (chain link fence) between the poles because our old dog would crawl under the fence to get out. She could hardly walk, but she could worm her way under the fence. Anyway, there were probably 15 pieces of like two foot rebar in the ground that DH had to pull out. We called them Polly stakes. Our old dog's name was Polly, named after Polly Pocket toys. Megan wanted to name her Amelia Bedelia, but I just couldnt' bear the thought of yelling AMELIA BEDELIA out the back door. Nancy, that is awful, not being able to get into the kitchen for 12 hours! My heart is broken for you!!! I have GOT to get those few birthday invites done today.

A question. Do you have self-cleaning ovens? If so, when you clean your oven, do you leave the racks in? I always take them out, but don't know if I really need to. Thanks!

It makes them turn a funny color, sort of like what oil looks like in water. They are not bright and shiny chrome anymore. They work, but they're not pretty. I did it about 3 months after owning the oven. Still using them...but sure wish I would have remembered to take them out!

Joy...LOL re: Amelia Bedelia. I had a neighbor growing up that was a single older man. Never dated, mom lived with him for years....great guy, just not terribly masculine if you catch my drift. One morning we hear him calling very excitedly for Cindy Lou. Yep, over and over again. We were not quite sure what to think until we figured out that Cindy Lou was a Shitzu Puppy. And I know I spelled that wrong. Wonder if the MB will allow it. LOL!

Ok...here's what I'm up to so far today.... Been on my morning bike ride. Went 22 miles again today. We had a new girl show up and they asked me to ride with her, as she said her avg was about 15mph. That's a bit slower than I ride, but I was happy to ride with her. The problem...yeah, she didn't ride 15--she probably could average 18! I never did catch her! LOL! She did, however, get herself lost and ended up coming in after me and my friend, riding in with another couple who had a flat tire along the way. I did have a friendly tease with her about riding much faster than she claimed! Nice girl, though, hope she returns next week. I'm sort of sucking wind still though, it was a hard ride for me today. I was off last week, so it had been 2 weeks since I rode last. I'm baking cookies right now for DH to take to work. He has a birthday tomorrow. Today's feature recipe is M&M cookies. So far, each employee has had a different recipe. I'm through my standby recipes, so I have to get creative going forward. I'll use them as guinea pigs to try out new recipes.

Me again.
A report on my "few" cards. I think I made close to 50.
Among other cuts, I used the blade of grass from Create A Critter. So you will know which one, it is accessory shift on the hippo. Cut at one inch.
Most of the time when I have used this blade of grass, I have to cut twice as many as I need because the rip and tear and are unusable.
Well, I don't know if I happened to have the settings just right, but maybe, just maybe, it was my new 60 degree blade, but out of probably 100 blades of grass cut, I only had ONE that was unusable!!!!! I was so HAPPY!
I was using green J's cardstock that is not much thicker than paper, and I usually have an awful time with it.

Cooler today, only a high of 64, that is fine though it is spring after all!
Have a great day all!

I think we are going to get the weather that the East coast has been having! YAY!!
Quiet day. Still getting things settled with DD's house. Plumbing, bugs, etc. They had some plumbing stuff done in December, and one of the pipes is leaking. They came and tried to fix it, but it is still leaking, so they have to come back. And the pest inspection found signs of old termite damage, so they will be doing with that tomorrow.
I got the invitaitons done. I guess I said that. I just need to figure out how much to charge the lady. I don't want to charge much, but just enough to cover supplies. Any suggestions??? I used cheap WalMart white cardstock, cheap J's cardstock, and ink from my printer. I printed the background instead of stamping it.
