I thought it would be nice to build up our supply of flowers. These flowers need to be HANDMADE, it does not matter how you make them. They can be fabric, paper or any other method you choose at least three layers no larger than 3". In this swap you will make 5 flowers send them to me. Once I receive all the flowers, I will divide them up and return them to everyone. Packages must be shipped to me with a confirmation number and post the number on the thread. PACKAGE THEM IN A WAY THAT THEY WILL NOT BE CRUSHED. You will also have to send me postage for return shipping. You can send a return envelope with return shipping; just have the post office weigh your envelope and add two stamps (don't stick to envelope put inside). I will only use the stamps I need then return what I don't use. I will not cover your return shipping. The due date will be one month from the close date of the swap. I will send you a PM with my address before the mailing deadline. The due date for the flowers to be mailed to me is Feb. 15th. Don't forget you need to post your confirmation # on the thread. FLAKERS WILL BE REPORTED AND POSTED.
JUST TO BE CLEAR YOU WILL BE GETTING 5 DIFFERENT FLOWERS BACK. THE FLOWERS ARE COMING TO ME AND I AM SORTING THEM AND SENDING THEM BACK OUT TO EACH OF YOU. I WILL DO THIS RANDOMLY, MAKING SURE I DO NOT SEND YOUR FLOWERS BACK TO YOU.

Laura Do you mean 5 for each person in the swap? That would have is making a lot of flowers if we get a lot of people. I was thinking 5 total then just sorting them that way we each get an assortment of flowers of 5 flowers back.

I did not think about roses or quilted flowers when noting layers, make those as you normally would. If you are making paper flowers, or fabric flowers they should have 3 or more layers. As far as the size, it dawned on me during dinner tonight that most of my cards are A2 and 3-4" is pretty large. That's why I was wondering what everyone else thought. Traci....I think about 1 1/2- 2" would be a wonderful size....
I'm doing fabric so I'm not sure how big they will turn out...lol

Here is a card I made with one of my fabric flowers, the flower is 2" and 4 layers plus the embellishment in the middle.
