I hope you all noticed that sketch 3 has two in one box! They are the same sketch, but different shapes! You can do one, or both! It is up to you!
Here is my sketch 3 as a circle card!

Sandy - great sketches, you know I am a sucker for Mojo Monday sketches but you know I don't think I have used these.
Your sample card for #3 is wonderful, as already said your colouring in is first class. I like the way you have flipped the sketch and love the BFF stamp. I'd better get my thinking cap on.

Sorry these are posted so late. I had them ready last night but ended up being so sick, I just stayed in bed this morning. Loved the new sketches and Sandy's circle card is adorable.

The colors are Red, White, and Navy Blue.

My New Year's Resolution (as far as crafting)... is to use my Cricut more often

I have to give a special thanks to AcrossThePond for "waking" me up during her host week and making me realize that I haven't been using my Cricut lately. I felt so guilty that out of the last 16 cards I made after Christmas day... only one card did not have any Cricut element. Forgive me Sue!

DeeScraps: thanks for posting the Ad colors... I specifically saved sketch 3 to try and work on it with the colors

brancher: we would LOVE for you to come join us this year!

Brancher, we would LOVE it if you decide to come back and join us! Make one card, or all of them, it doesn't matter! We would just love to see what you made! BigGrin

DeeScraps, praying you get better real soon! Just take care!!!

RAQ, I have to laugh, I used brown and green in that exact same sketch, lol! Great minds think alike, lol! Wink Although, your card is so much brighter, and happier than mine looks! I love that cup cake too!

BRITMCKENZIE, you threw your card on right when I posted, lol! Aww, what a sweet little girl! She made me smile! Thanks for sharing it with us!

New Years, resolution... I wanted to start off the new year by cleaning, and reorganizing my scrap room, which I already did! I also set a goal for myself to learn more different things, and to make more projects this year and put them on my blog along with my cards! I need to get back on the cricut more too! That really was an awesome thing Sue, (AcrossThePond) had thrown out there for everybody! I too am guilty at straying away from it!

First time joining in a challenge! I've been making cards for about a year now and have posted a bit on the boards.

Here's my version of sketch #1 and I did use the colours. The details won't be posted on my blog for a little while as it is for one of my followers.

For Cricut shapes I used: Ribbons & Rosettes (top border), Cindy Lou (diamond shape) and Elegant Edges (frame with Happy Birthday).

I still need to finish the inside but that's it for tonight. Hope to try the other sketches.

BRITMCKENZIE: that's a cute skater card and I'll have to check out that card base you used. Sentimentals is my newest cartridge and I've only used one cut on it so far

sunnieday:
oooh that's pretty... ok did your Imagine make the background paper or did it already come that way? I really like that print

SHELBYWOO:
great layouts! You're my inspiration to start working on layouts... I need to add to that to my resolution

Gisele: Welcome! Great job on using the Ad colors on your sketch 1, turned out really pretty. I really like the border punch you used for the top

More New Year's Resolution! I really really really need to start working on scrapbooks!

Hi everyone............Happy New Year! Here are a couple of my New Years' resolutions, i usually don't make them LOL because I don't stick to Blushing them but here are some that have to do with my card making/crafting so maybe i will be able to pull it off and stick to them Confused

1. Finish the insides of my cards, at least add matching paper and add sentiment as needed

2. Not take so much time picking out my papers, when I find some that work STOP looking and use them!Mad

3. Try and not be so anal about the details on my cards, another words stop piddling around! BigGrin

Well I guess i will just try and speed up the process of making cards, I think I take too longCrying

Look forward to another fabulous year of crafting, and OH pull out that Cinch I HAD to have and make some mini-albums

And yes Sue thank you for bringing us back to using our Cricuts, I really try and use it but sometimes when the shapes are all square it make it kind of hard, easier just to use your trimmer..................but thanks again for the reminder!

These apply to me as well! I've been talking to Sandy and I was just telling her exactly those two things. It takes me so long to make cards and part of that is picking out the papers!

Turtlebug: oooh that's pretty... the colors really stand out and it's very eye-catching. I really like the contrast of the butterflies on the white background and very pretty border punches

Hello ladies, Happy 2012....doesn't feel much diferent to 2011 does it...lol...and I had to smile at Donna's resolutions, I think one of mine should be to actually USE more of my paper mountain instead of just colourising/stamping plain white cardstock....if only because I've spent so much money buying the stuff...

Sandy
- Very interesting sketches and what a happy coincidence for me as I'm just working on a card for my niece and that uses a diamond shape, although it is a bit of a stretch otherwise....hoping to post it later on today...love that cute sketch 3 and what a great idea to turn it into a shaped card...

Dee - thanks for the ad colours, we'll probably be using these quite a lot over here this year what with the Diamond Jubilee and the Olympics...

Raquel - great sketch 1 and Wow! - everything Cricutted and even a bit of Cuttlebugging going on at the bottom...BigGrin ...love the colour scheme too...

BritMcKenzie - Love that happy image, great take on sketch 3...

Sunnie - very pretty card, love that roses background paper...

Shelby - great LO's as always and a great choice of backing pps for those photos...

Gisele - Welcome and you started off with a bang too, even using the ad colours...great card!

Turtlebug - You've used the ad colours too, very striking card, love the shell borders, so pretty...

OK, here's my card and although it doesn't match any of the sketches exactly it was something I was already working on when Sandy posted so I thought I'd try and sneak it in under the radar!...BigGrin I've also used two cuts from Paper Lace and the flowers are from Flower Shoppe... the leaves and flourish are SB dies...another resolution for me is to try and use my Cricut whenever I use my SB dies and they do work together so well anyway...

Beautiful card and it matches sketch 3 with the diamond. Psst... I used that same SpellBinder for my Sketch 3, except mine are still in pieces

I forgot all about posting this after the ink dried up... it's actually a glaze pen so it has some texture and dimension when it's all dry

Sketch 2

The inside says "Another Birthday?"

Fabulous Finds - square and rectangles
George and Basic Shapes - ovals
Paper Doll Dress Up - cat
Stretch Your Imagination - background frames with circle border
Wild Card - "uh oh" and "Another Birthday?"

I'll be leaving for Orlando for the weekend (just a weekend trip to Disney World), so sketch 3 will have to be assembled when I get back on Sunday. I'll check on and off during the weekend
