This week's theme is simplicity... a very selfish reason for doing so... I need to catch up on the past 2 sketch challenges Blushing

RAQ, thanks for hosting! These do seem like really simple sketches, but no matter how hard I try, I think I get carried away and simple for me keeps growing, lol!

ShelbyWoo, you took the extreme and did simple just like instructed! You know me, it took me all day just to get one card done, lol! I don't think I have it in me to keep it light! Nice set of cards by the way! I love the embossing done on all three cards!

Here is sketch 2! I put the sentiment at the top because on this card it looked better there!

Logged in at last!...what a palaver, why do PC put us through this nightmare every time they tinker with the site...

Michelle - Simple isn't just good, it's great...loving all the embossed cards and it's good to use them up isn't it...lol

Sandy - two cuties for sketches 2 & 3...why is she doing the ironing!...ugh, I hate ironing...LOL ...very creative sketch 3, love how you turned it on it's side and those button embellies...shadowing work is beautifully done, really makes the image pop off the base...

Vickie - Lovely Thanksgiving card, what pretty background pp, great choice...and such a warm cosy feel with the second card...

Izzy, Ok, you had me rolling with laughter! LOL I guess I didn't pull it off! Actually, the stamp had an ink pad off to the side but I didn't want it on the picture because I had thought she looked like a chef stamping cookies out onto a cookie sheet! Hmm, wonder how other people are going to see that stamp now, lol!?!?

VickieBryan, nice fall feel to your first card! I really like the effect you have with the picture inside the card on your second card! Nice job!

Hi everyone.....this is the first time I've been able to log on since the night before they changed the boards. I picked some colors and asked Raquel to post them, but I see that she hasn't. I'm wondering if she and maybe some of the other folks are having trouble signing back in? Anyway, lets just skip them this week, as half the week is already gone.

I do like the sketches this week and hope I get some done. I'm into simple this time of the year!!!!

The board seems very slow since they made the changes, but then I'm also having a problem with my computer. My fingers are crossed that it doesn't crash in the next few days.

Sandy - LOL ...it still looks like a flat-iron to me, the kind great-grandma used to heat up on the stove..and she's ironing the welcome mat for when the family comes "Home for the Holidays"....

Sunnie - great cards, love those papers, especially the pale tan with the starbursts..is it an Imagine print?

Bingolady - Cute Thanksgiving couple and I do like that floral border on the second sketch, very pretty...

Hi Ladies!
I found a couple of hours in my very busy day (DGS & DGD movie day today..."Puss in Boots" movie too cute!!), to make my three simple card sketches. I made them REALLY quick....so please, DON'T look too close!! LOL!

No Cricut, just last year's Christmas embellies & ribbons. All papers scraps from my paper stash and added some embossing and brads. TFL!!

SHELBYWOO: great use of those old embossed cards... LOVE the blues ones (hee hee)

Sunnieday, yay, I LOVE Christmas and love seeing Christmas cards posted! Your first two cards look very holly jolly and shout out Christmas to me with the traditional Christmas colors! I jut love them! Adding white to your last one has a real calming affect to it which is real nice too! Nice job on all three cards!

BingoLady, I love the bow and buckle you added on your first card! Your 40 card is real pretty! Love the paper, and love the embossing you did on your card!

Turtlebug, yay, more Christmas cards!!! Love those papers on your first card! Real warm feel to the card! The last two cards, they are very crisp, and so shouts out Christmas! BigGrin That Santa sure does pop from the card with his white beard! Just wonderful!

RAQ and Izzy, The funny thing is, before I even bought the stamp I asked my daughter what she thought the little girl was doing! She thought just like me that she was cutting out Christmas cookies, ha, ha, ha! Great minds think alike, lol! Wink I sooo need to try this little girl again and just keep her stamping with ink like it was supposed to be, but I will do it down the road sometime! Lets see if I will pull her off with how she was meant to be doing, lol!
