I love my Cricut, couldn't live without it!! Well maybe I could live, but I can't scrap without it.

Disappointed! It claims it will cut fabric, but when I tried to cut letters on cotton it just cut a few holes.

This is my second Cricut machine. I loved it in the beginning. But I've only had it for about a month and it's starting to tear the paper no matter what I do.

I just upgraded today to the expression. I've been working with the original, but I loved it! Found a really great deal on the expression, and I couldn't pass it up.
As far as cutting fabric, I have found if you starch your fabric first, it works a lot better. Hope that helps.

So much to do!
My favorite thing about the Expression is that I can cut large pieces of paper (up to 12 x 24 inches). I like to make signs and fun decorations and I need bigger cuts for those projects. I got a refurbished machine and got a great deal on it. The refurbished machine works just as well as I would expect a new one to work. The only difference was that the box it came in was plain white instead of the preprinted official "Cricut" box. I am excited about all I can do with my Expression and am looking forward to letting friends come over to my house so we can craft together with it.

My husband surprised me with this about 3 1/2 years ago. I didn't even ask for it. I use it for cardmaking, posters, locker decorations. I have made several posters for work, school, and soccer. I just LOVE IT!

frustrated and disappointed
I just purchased the cricut expressions and find that it is tearing the paper. I am also disappointed that I can't find a simple flower or circle in any of the 3 cartridges I bought...not sure I want to spend any more $ money to make a circle if I can't figure out how to get it to work. I have been looking on line for guidance beyond the video to deal with this initial cutting problem...still looking

I received this machine for my birthday about a year and a half ago and loved it. It did get pricy buying the cartridges for it, but worth it in my eyes. Now my machine will only stay on for a few seconds before it just shuts off. I called customer support and they said they only cover the warranty for 1 year. I do understand that, but I am willing to send my machine in to get fixed and pay for the repairs, but they said they do not do that and now I have a 10 lb. paperweight that I can’t do anything with. It is disappointing that I have spent so much money on cartridges and my sister spent so much on a machine I only had for little over a year. The best part is when I received an email offering me $10.00 off a new machine at $300.00. Why would I buy another machine to last a little over a year and be out of warranty to fix?

I totally love this machine. I got it in last May, and am loving it so much. Being only 14, I don't use it all that often because of all my homework and other stuff, but it is incredible. My only real complaints are the blade and the cutting mats don't last quite as long as I'd like them to. Oh well...

I have had my Expression for almost a year now (a late Christmas gift to myself) and LOVE IT! It has been a learning process since I don't always stop and read directions but I have made lots of cards, invitations and cut vinyl for glass etching.

The Best XMAS present EVER!!!
OMG...just opened up my new Cricut on Saturday as an early present from my hubby. I just couldn't wait, what can I tell ya? And boy am I HAPPY! He gifted me the smaller one last XMas, and I used it faithfully for scrapbooking, cardmaking, and now I'm really into Cricut Home Decor. Needless to say, I am very happy...the 12x12 mat gives me endless space to create and make layered shapes for my framed pictures. I look forward to many creative, crafty years with this investment...thanks Cricut for putting this wonderful, versatile machine out in the craft market...there is only one Cricut!

don't buy it
I received this cricut expressions last year from my husband. And I HATE IT. It said it will cut paper and fabric and make all kinds of cards and all that stuff but DO NOTHING. Just make HOLE and wast your TIME and MONEY and PATIENTS . I called customer service but they cannot do anything, now i have this big heavy useless machine collecting dust .
. Don't buy this stuff. IN TV THEY MAKE ALL KINDS OF STUFFS DON'T GO FOR IT .

Lots of Fun
I received my machine two Christmases ago and really enjoy making things with it (when I actually have time). The only real problem I've had is trying to figure the pressure settings! I either don't cut all the way through or dig into the mat. Wish the sticky on the mats would last longer. I don't really scrapbook but do lots of other crafts.
My only other complaint is I wish I could afford the Cricut Expression 2 because the LED screen is bigger and would be much easier for me to see what I'm doing with my vision problem.
For the rest of you out there, yes the cartridges and other items are a little pricy, you just have to shop around. Places like JoAnn Fabrics have them on sale quite often and Walmart is pretty reasonable!!! GOOD LUCK ON ALL YOUR FUTURE CRAFTS!!!

Maybe the new one's better?
I've only used my Cricut a few times and each time I had trouble. Once the paper got stuck to the mat and tore. Another few times the needle "ripped" the paper instead of cut it.

love this thing!
My boyfriend got me this for my birthday/Christmas this last year and it is AMAZING! I made Christmas cards, I cut out pieces for blankets to stitch on, and I use it for my scrapbooking attempts. :) I love this thing. It has made a lot of things easier on me.

I have had my Cricut Expression ever since it first came out and I have not had any issues. As a matter of fact I have 2 machines and cut everything from paper, card stock, vinyl and fabric. Once you learn the tricks on how to adjust your settings it's a breeze.

Love my Expression!!!
I started out with the Cricut create and 5 years ago upgraded to my Expression. I LOVE it! I have had no problems with my machine and own 85 plus cartridges. Just like all purchases.... practice makes perfect. If your paper is tearing, or not cutting through the paper ... adjust the settings. I have both mine on max and have no problems. I am actually looking at buying another machine to double up my cutting. I cut lots... when I get going. I have never paid full price for a cartridge and rarely pay over $30 ... so many great stores offer sales all the time! Look on-line and at your local shops. I did find that I don't like the new 12x12 cutting pads. I hope they get stickier... right now they don't hold paper at all. :(
This machine is super easy to use and a great place to start if your looking at buying a Cricut machine. LOVE MINE!!!

It's great then it stopped working!
I purchased my Cricut Expression machine 3 years ago. I was new to scrapbooking. I hardly used it. Then I started using it a few months ago then stopped. I turned it on yesterday and it wouldn't work. So disappointed. Spent all that money and it didn't last.

What's wrong with my cricut?
I purchase my Cricut Expression two years ago and almost from the start I've had problems. When I try cutting small details, my paper keeps ripping. I replaced the cutting knife, but it did not resolve the problem. I am very disappointed with my purchase.

I have had my Cricut now for two years and could not be more pleased it is very easy to use and is endless with its possibilities. Anyone having issues should go to youtube for tutorials. You will eventually fall in love.

A MUST HAVE FOR EVERYONE!!!
I purchased my Cricut Expression about 2 years ago and at first was very frustrated with it. It was ripping paper and I could not figure out the right size for things, the mats were not sticky and my paper was always moving. I then went to you tube and found hundreds of videos for how-to do things. They have videos on how to make your mats sticky. You need to just play with your machine settings and you will see it gets better and then you won't want to stop playing with it. It is great for school projects for my kids. I've made baby shower invites, cards, scrapbook pages, and home decor. I can't recommend this machine enough. You should also get the Cuttlebug. These two machines together make the most beautiful cards or whatever. LOVE LOVE LOVE it.

The Beauty is the Ease of Use
I have all the Cricut machines except the Mini, and time and again, I find my go-to machine is the Expression. I don't use software because the beauty of this machine and system is the EASE of USE! Stick in a cartridge, press a button or two, and ta-da! You have your cut! Nothing is this fast and easy while having such variety of sizes! Easy to learn and to master!

I have had my machine for about 3 years now, I have NEVER had any problems. I use it A LOT! I have just started in the Craft Room, and love it too. I have been scrapbooking for about 7 years, and this is my second Cricut machine, the first one was the 6x12 (the original one). When my lovely husband got me the Cricut Expression, I gave my daughter my small one.

I absolutely love this machine. I bought it a couple of years ago, when Close to my Heart introduced "Art Philosophy". My machine gets lots of work from my ladies scrap club, workshops, retreats, etc. Like most electronics it hangs up once in a while, but shutting off and turning it back on resolves the problem. However, I did buy it at Costco so if there was a problem in the first year I could just return it.
