So many people have asked me question about the trip I thought that I would keep this thread updated with the information and those of you that are interested can keep up with it.
I was contacted the same night the winners were announced congratulating me and there were some forms I needed to sign and fax back which I did on Monday.
I got another email asking me to call, which I did. That was where it got exciting.
One of the most thrilling parts of it for me is I know that the Director of Marketing saw my work. She passed my info on to the Cricut director too. When I saw that I got very happy!
I got to decide when I am going and I picked Valentines Day. We are going to extend the stay for 2 nights so we will leave 2-12 and come home 12-15. I wanted to stay a little longer and Provo Craft offered to cover the extra night. I am thrilled.
I got to pick my Broadway show and we selected The Lion King and we are going to see it on Valentines Day. I am a huge Disney geek and I have wanted to see this show for a long time. There are a lot of other shows that we want to see so I am going to hopefully get tickets while we are there for another one. We will use the half price day of tickets option.
I want to go see a taping of The View and a friend has someone that works for SNL and we are going to try to get into a taping of that show too. The other places we know now that we are going to are Ground Zero and the American Girl store. The rest is still up in the air. I tend to be an uber planner so as we get closer I will have a lot more planned.
The shopping spree is going to be a gift card. They were not sure when I will get it. I HOPE it's before Christmas.
They are going to arrange transportation to and from the airport and they are looking into if meals are going to be included.
I am excited and I will be hoping to make dinner reservations at Le Bernadin we are budding foodies and have wanted to dine here for some time. They don't book until the month before so I will be on the phone in January. I am not sure about the other places to eat. I will be doing some research.
I am going with my boyfriend Jay who has traveled all over the world but never been to NYC so I am excited that I get to show it to him. I grew up in RI so I have been to NYC many times.
That is everything I know now. I only became real to me today when I talked to Provo Craft.

I am so excited for you! I was able to take my DH to NYC last year for his first time and it was great! I love NYC!!! Your project was great by the way! I'm glad to see that you didn't let a little negativity take any of the excitement away from you! I can hardly wait to hear how you spend your gift card! That would be more fun than 40 Christmases!

First of all... Congrats!!! New York is an AWESOME place to be, anytime of the year... Little Italy is a fantastic place to shop and eat...try and go there, and then China Town and along Canal Street where you can pick up the most amazing deals ever!! My husband is a New Yorker and knows his way around- let me know if you need anything or directions!
SNL-- are you kidding me??? I would take going to SNL over just about anything...except the shopping spree- but ohh am I jealous of SNL... please post and tell me all about it!!!
