One of the deacons of our church and a friend of 50 years passed away Thursday so I had to make two sympathy cards - one for me and one for my Mom. Here is the first one.  I started with a black base, added a piece of Christian paper for a mat, added a strip of black that I cuttlebugged with the argyle folder, added flowers from print paper cut at 1" with PS, popped the flowers, added liquid pearls for flower centers, and added with sympathy cut at 4" with WC. Inside top I added print paper, added God Bless cut at 1 1/2" with BB. Inside bottom I added a white mat and added flowers to the corners.

Thank you for looking and any comments.

Beautiful card. Being new to card-making, I haven't had to make a sympathy card yet - I can only imagine how difficult it must be..... TFS

Thank you for the wonderful comments. It is so hard to make sympathy cards. I think it is because we battle between making them with too dark or too light, not color wise but in mood. It is just so hard to strike a happy medium. Once again thank you.

This turned out very well.  Not easy cards to make, at all.  You did good, though.
