Simply follow these installation suggestions on how to get the most from this update. Read on to learn more about what this update includes.

We are pleased to announce that the new updated version of Cricut DesignStudio is now available. The new version is compatible with 32 and 64 Bit computers and, along with a fixing a few bugs, includes the new cartridge content for Disney's Tinker Bell & Friends, Disney/Pixar Cars, Blackletter, Hello Kitty Greetings, Hello Kitty Font, Sesame Street Font and Sesame Street Friends.

For best results when installing the new version please do the following:

Step 1: Please remove or uninstall the old version of CDS, typically through your control panel.

Step 2: Before installing the new version, it is necessary to delete your current "CricutFontsMetadata.xml" file. This file is located in your "Cricut Folder" which is in your "Documents Folder". Just double click on your Cricut Folder and you will see Projects and User Data. At this point double click on the User Data, then right click on the "CricutFontsMetadata.xml" folder, and delete.

Step 3: Go to Cricut.com, click on the Big Banner (Cricut DesignStudio find out more) then on the left hand side of the next page click where it says (Download DesignStudio Updates) this takes you to a third page where you will see the Download button. Click and install the new version.

Step 4: Make sure after you have installed the New Version that you update your firmware - these instructions can be found under the help tab in Cricut DesignStudio.

The Classmate cartridges are compatible with your Cricut Expressions or the original Cricut!

From time to time we will offer Cricut™ cartridges that will be exclusive to a bundle package or to a retailer. At this time there are no plans to offer these cartridges separately, but we are open to the possibility in the future. If this becomes the case we will alert you to their availability.

Cricut Color™ Inks (markers) expand the possibilities and versatility of the Cricut. You will be able to use the Cricut cartridges in conjunction with your inks to draw your favorite shapes! Cricut Color Inks will be shown at this summer’s CHA show in Chicago. More details including colors, availability, and pricing will be available at that time. The Cricut Color Inks are the same size, and are interchangeable with the blade housing. Simply remove the blade housing, and insert the marker! It’s just that easy.

Provo Craft is committed to bringing you quality products. We are aware of some differences in the mat adhesive which in turn is not providing the life expectancy in some mats.
