Hey, When I see all of the zig zag stitching on these great cards, are you using your good ole sewing machine that you have made all of your kids stuff on , or are you using something else?? I love the sewing look, but yikes , to drag out my big ole machine..it takes up sooo much space...

Just a regular sewing machine for me. Mine stays out all of the time, but I use it a lot.

I'm curious if anyone uses the little handheld stitching machine I've seen around...

I use my bernina that I have had for 24 years. My SIL bought a little machine for stitching and hated it!

My regular Janome sewing machine, I just make sure that if I'm going back to fabrics (for clothes) that I change my needle to a sharp one.

I have a nice embroidery machine I am overprotective of. I bought a Janome Sew Mini for basic mending and small projects. I adore it. One of the best machines I ever bought. I held off for several years buying one.

I have 7 sewing machines that I cherish, but for sewing on paper only I have a Walmart $68 Brother that sews like a champ.

I would not use the handheld ones ..... from what I've heard they don't do a nice job. I use my Bernina or my Janome sewing machine and keep a needle just for paper stitching. I do know that Walmart has a small mini machine for about $40-50 that I've seen some people purchase for cardmaking/scrapbooking. I cannot speak to its reliability/stitch quality however.

I asked about the little hand held ones a few years back when I decided I may need another for paper projects.  The lady there explained to me that it sews with a looping motion and therefore you had to be careful you didn't unravel your stitching, she probably explained it better but .....

I don't sew clothes any more, so I use my Singer, It is small and portable, but still a pain to get out.

I use my Husqvarna ... works just fine ... I keep it out all the time, so it's also handy.

I have used my baby-lock with straight and zig zag stitches before...lots of fun...stitch line can be very random.  Have fun!
