I emailed the NuShield screen protector company to see if they could add the Provo Craft Gypsy to their line-up of screen protectors --- and they did!!  Mine just arrived yesterday and I just put it on this morning.  I am NOT affilated with NuShield in ANY way.  I've used their products before on my PDAs and have been totally satisfied.

quote:

Now you can easily read the LCD screens on your PDA, laptop, iPod and thousands of other electronic devices indoors or outdoors in indirect daylight -- even when you're wearing sunglasses. These light canceling films work the same way as noise canceling headphones. DayVue's unique glare protection and UV protection properties cancel sun glare and filter UV rays so that you can see your screen clearly. Colors are so rich and sharp, you'll feel like you're indoors. Scratch resistant with longer lasting screen protection than any other similar product on the market, too. 100% money-back guarantee.

What's really nice is that this screen protector is easy to remove and reapply if you need to.  (Which I did have to do twice. The first time because I just didn't like how I had lined it up. The second time because I put it on crooked because I was watching my dogs play fight.)  Anyhow, if you go relatively slowly, you can get this on without any air bubbles.

To order, go to this link:
http://www.nushield.com/specials.php

From the manufacturer drop-down, select Provo Craft, then from the Type select Gypsy.  I also saved the 33% by adding the $1.99 screen cleaners to the order.  (I only used the one to clean the screen of my Gypsy and was also able to use the same one for my laptop screen and then scrubbed off our cordless phone too.) :)

Mine came to just a little over $20 including shipping -- but it should last the lifetime of my Gypsy.  I know it's more than the generic protectors from Wal-Mart, but it's also a much better quality.  (I'd rather buy one more expensive protector that will last - and is installed so much easier - than buy several cheaper ones that I end up ruining.)

I did have to round the edges just a tish but it is a good fit. :)

Kimberly

PS. I seriously am NOT affiliated with this company. At all. Just a satisfied repeat customer (due to multiple devices).   And they have a 100% customer satisfaction policy, including shipping.

Company website: http://www.nushield.com

(Edited to make it easier to find the link to ordering the protector.) :)

I was just looking at the Invisible Shield line to see if I could find something on there that would work. I have one on my iPhone and they will replace it for life if anything happens to it. Hummmmm......

Yikes!  I don't think I'd be sending my Gypsy anywhere either!  I did email all of the dimensions to NuShield of the screen (including diagonal) plus I sent them to the Gypsy website so they could see what I was talking about.  They added the product the same day as my initial request -- on a SUNDAY!

I have it installed and I've used my Gypsy.  I'm going to ****ume it is scratch resistant.... I don't plan to take a razor blade to it. LOL

I have used this brand on several PDAs that require a stylus and have had no problems what-so-ever. I never had to replace the protectors on those items. :)

Great thanks!

I bought the one from Walmart but it's scratches easily from the stylus. Was hoping this was better. Thanks for the heads up.

I also wanted to add that I waited to post about this screen protector until I had received and installed the one that I ordered. I figured that way if I got it and I didn't like how it installed, I wouldn't post anything about it. LOL

It cost me a little over $20 including shipping. (Like $20.30) I think they only have the protector. in the DayVue film.

FYI, Wal-Mart has a pack I just bought to use for my Gypsy, Zune, and Digital Camera.. U get 5 to a pack, they have little grid lines, and u cut them to size for any device u want a protector for.. They only cost around 6 bucks for 5 protectors.. I put one on my gypsy last week, and its been great so far.. I have one that I also have had on my phone for almost a year now with out replacing it and I have a touch screen phone.. They are called something like Universal screen protector.. They are in electronics, with the Ipod accessories...

The bad thing about those screen protectors is that they are pretty much made for touch screens... not for an electronic device that uses a stylus.  It's a good price but you'll have to keep replacing them.

Edited to add the word "they" to my first sentence. :)
