I am very new to the whole creative side, especially vinyl I asked one person where she bought her vinyl, but I would like other opinions also. I want a permanent vinyl for the glass blocks to decorate and tiles and all the other great lil projects that have been used with vinyl. My questions are: 1. where does everyone get their permanent vinyl? and question 2. i want vinyl that will stick to a car to make my own stick family, will the removable "fly" off when driving if anyone knows? All feedback is GREATLY appreciated!!
A friend of mine works at a car detailing shop. So he has been nice enough to give me his extra for free. I haven't used it on a car yet, but if I did I think I would only put it on the windows. So far I have done glass blocks, tiles and wood signs and I love it. I did just order vinyl that I can use on walls. I just haven't gotten a chance to try it yet. Michele
I like the GT5 - it is an all purpose permanent outdoor and crafting vinyl. It is easy to weed, comes in tons of colors and cuts great. It will stay on your windows as long as you want and will come off with a razor blade if need be, although mine have always come off with a scrape of my fingernail.
The GT5 is about .42 per square foot in the 5 pack (cheaper than most 12x12 scrapbook papers these days). The color chart for the GT5 is below the color selections you make online - just keep scrolling down on your screen and click on Color Chart. (it's confusing if you don't know where to start at first)
As always stop by my blog for the link and the checkout code for free shipping to H&H.
I've done just about everything with the GT5 - it even washes great in the dishwasher (top rack)

I have 2 places that I get vinyl from. One is a sign shop that gives me their scraps for free. (I try to take them a small thank you every few times), and a car detailing place. The car detailing place I paid $20 for a box full. It was worth it because there were a number of huge pieces in there. I have gotten a huge ****ortment of colors! I would definately call around. You never know when you might be able to find someone who will give away their scraps :)
